I've been getting the same calls for a couple of weeks now. I bought my phone from Phones4U, but I suspect this weblink may be the answer to what's going
i received a call, i am on t-mobile, the company is a selling network 3 contracts, they are called freemobilesforu, the offer seems good, does anyone know anything about this company?
This number keeps calling and calling me, i usually let it ring off as i dont recognise the number, but answered it today, and they hung up. Will no doubt get another call
ok, i received this same number a moment ago, called them back and they are from 3G or they are offering 3g mobile contracts. the strange thing is how do they know so much about me, they know what network i am on, they know when my contract ends etc etc. i even called them back witheld and still knew it was me???????
I called my network and told them about this, they said that because I have bought my phone from Carphone warehouse, they have passed my number onto these telesales companies.
they also advised me that if I want to sop these, then I must register my number onto this website: www.tpsonline.org.uk
once registered, you will no longer receive any sales calls, as sale companies are not allowed to call numbers which are registered on that site, i think it is against the law.
Near the end of my T-mobile contract which i bought from Carphone Warehouse. This number rang yesterday, i picked up with no one on the other line then they just hung up. As i was just typing this they have rang again!. didnt pick up and it only rang about 3 rings. Think it must be some type of automatic dialing machine.
i have received a call both twice today and once yesterday on my recentley opened contract phone(orange) and on my old phone (t-mobile) which i am still using also. I find it very strange that they have managed to get hold of both my current and past numbers.
It is likely to be an automatic dialing machine which dials lots of numbers at once. The first number which picks up is connected and the rest are cut off after a couple of seconds.
I've had calls from this number and 01269 598 400 for the last few weeks. it's very annoying.
This number called me and i answered. Tha caller informed me it was with regards to my T-mobile contract, and that they are a mobile company. Possibly thses calls are redirected through a single number? I informed them that i had just renewed my contract and was not interested-=end of call. How did they know my nmber and my network + tha my contarct would expire in a week or two????
I just picked up this call thinking it was to do with an ad I'd put in a paper recently. After she'd said hello I didn't have the heart to put down the phone i just said it wasn't a good time I was at work and she went silent on me (I could still hear background noise) and then I said 'hello?' and she hung up on me!
It's bad enough I'm being cold-called, then to have THEM hang up on ME!
This company has just sold me a phone, i am on t-mobile at the moment and its on 3, i'll let you know if the phone turns up, i have no money in my bank for them to take so its no risk! Glad no-one has had their finges burnt by this company based on the above comments!
Hey presto, i said I would let you know if the phone turned up, it turned up yesterday at 11 am, the phone was up and running by 1pm after calling the customer service line! All seems good, handset is brilliant and the reception with 3 is excellent, no longer do I have to hang out of my window to get reception! LOL p.s the company is Freemobiles4u not 3mobiles4u
