this number called, hung up when i answer twice today they have called.

I just got a call from this number, I don't know who they are.
Not the first time they have called either....

this number calls and they say nothing when you answer-there is a lot of background noise,like machinery running-printers etc?

This company called today - the lady did not announce her company, but said it was a courtesy call to see if a white envelope about recyling had been delivered to my house.  When I asked who they were, she still did not give the company name but said it was a "courtesy call" on behalf of the council - she didn't say which council.  When I asked for the organisation's name she repeated that it was just a courtesy call for the council, and I said I expected the courtesy of being told who was ringing my number - she rang off.  So I called back - after several tries that were engaged, I got through to a lady called Olivia, who after being pressed said they were a company called something like PDC, ringing on behalf of Notts County Council (who do not deal with recyclable waste here!) and that my neighbours at certain numbers on my street (the name of which she got wrong) had said they had received the queried envelope. I had made notes of the previous call and she insisted that I had said things that I had not.  I haven't yet checked with my neighours, but I will.  The approach was not very professional.

Phone rang once, checked here and noted as a pest.

Have had several calls from this number over a couple of weeks but have ignored them so far.  Think I will continue to do so!

This person, female, called curtesy call did we received the Staffordshire Free bee. Seems like a scam to see if people are in possibly to send the boys round to rob,?. or it could be my favourite debt collectors

Called today to see if i received the St Helens Star local free newspaper - why would an 01827 number in Staffordshire call about a Merseyside paper - tried to call it back but its engaged.

I didn't give her any details and she got my street name wrong - possible scam.
