missed calls from this num. every morning for few days,can't call back,number busy.

Call came at 20/04/09. Slight buzzing noise in background.  Call dropped after 4-5 seconds.

Same Problem ???

first call came yesterday at 07/05/09.missed call, rang back, number busy.  rang again today 08/05/09 missed call rang back, number busy. tried ringing back a few times and still number busy.

phone number 018920400 rang twice today after 5pm and then at 8.25pm. no message left. I did not answer cuz I did not recognize the number. Inbetween I got two ''withheld'' calls.

Had a missed call from 01-8920400 today @ 12.01pm and 15.49pm today....

My phone is unlisted so how can they have got it in the first place...
Called number back twice and got engaged tone

Yes, I got 2 calls from that number in the past 2 days.  It must be some type of telsales or vishing scam! Engaged when you call back so its probably a dialler of some sort.

Had 2 calls from this number so far, always mid-morning. Number always busy when called back.

Okay, just got off the phone to Eircom. This seems to be one of their marketing numbers and I had them take me off their list. I was given the following number to action this: 1800 207 407 - it'll take 2 weeks to get removed off their call list but hopefully, this should solve the problem!

If that No belongs to Eircom, then they could get themselves into a big trouble as they've been annoying me for the last 3 months or so. Even though I've told them 3times to stop harrasing me...

Just got my first call from this number. I have had my number removed from the national list so I should not be getting this call.  I will answer it the next time and ask them for an explanation and post it here

I have been getting these calls for weeks now. My wife told me that when she answered the person would ask for a name and when given a popsitive or negative reply they put the phone dow. About 17.00 i had the similar experience and i was asked if they could talk to me and a said that it was me and what was this about the phone was cut off.
I called the number 1800 207 407 and got myself removed from their list.
What gives these people the right to behave like this!

I received a call from this number (Dublin 8920400) this afternoon around 4.45pm. Tried to return the call, but only get a tone suggesting I had mis-dialled the number (not quite an engaged tone, but similar pitch and faster). In the past 3 weeks, I have received dozens of calls from a "withheld" number. The first time I answered it, it was Eircom trying to get me to sign up with them (I switched to Pure Telecom long ago). I said I wasn't interested, and told them I should not be receiving marketing calls as I had requested to be taken off their list. The guy on the line ignored me and went straight into his hard sell pitch. I hung up. I wrote to Eircom to ask to be taken off their list (again) and to complain about the call. Two days later I receved the second call. I answered, same outcome. Three more calls that day, after which I stopped answering calls where the number was withheld... but it went on and on and on. I made a note of each call, and it has come to 37 calls in the past 20 days. Last "withheld" call was this morning at 9.00am. Now this 8920400 call, which it turns out is also Eircom. Sweet Christ, I swear I'm going to shoot someone. I am sitting down to write a complaint to ComReg. Can I request that anyone else who gets this type of harrassment does so too?

got a call from thi number at 7pm last night. tried calling back a few times but its engaged. my number is unlisted so i thought it might be a wrong number.

We had opted out of marketing calls via eircom but still got calls from this number. Rang eircom customer services and got a snarly operatpr who said I should call the Regulator to have our name taken off . . . NOT!!!! Put number in web got this page rang 1800207407 and - bingo - (hopefully) after a week (or so) we should get no more calls. Thanks to this web page

My number also unlisted and got home this afternoon to see a call from 01 892 0400.  Only family have this number (and Eircom as I'm with them).  Same scenario, tried to phone back as hate it when no message left and it has been engaged for the last hour.  Paranoia set in so Googled the number and was amazed to find this web page!  Isn't the internet great!  Now I can relax and know it's not a family crisis somewhere!

Have had similiar problems over last few months On one occassion the number had come up 3 times one afternoon, thought it was the hospital in Dublin where my Dad was, nearly had heart attack with worry when I got home, thought something had happened him. Couldnt get through when I rang back. Calls again yesterday when I was at work.I'm ex-directory so its only family have my number. Googled the number and amazed to see this site

I have been receiving witheld calls every morning around the same time, and once it was the number mentioned above. As I'm working I'm not home to answer them, but was wondering who was so eager to get in touch with me.
Also amazed that this website is here - surely something can be done about this. In the meantime I'm going to call the number you've provided and get my name off the list.
