I received a missed call from this number today during my working hours. I typed in the code online to find out who had called my mobile and I came across your site. Normally I receive cold calls from people trying to sell me mobile phones when I am happily under contract with a major provider. Its very annoying!

these people claim to be from t-mobile upgrades with an offer of new handset and cheaper bills.  They then had the nerve to ask me if I knew whether or not i was due an upgrade? surely if you are t-mobile then you should be telling me I replied. er no.. was the salesmen's response, my computer is a little slow.

i'm not due an upgrade at all - this has scam written all over it I think.

Got two calls on my mobile from this number, one yesterday which I missed and another one today. Firstly as soon as I realised it was a sales call I said I wasn't interested to which the woman replied "I'm not trying to sell you anything love I'm calling about your contract renewal". She then wittered on about T-mobile so I assumed she was from T-mobile. When I realised my error, as she had started to ask me for all my details, I said I didn't want to change my network and she became a bit snotty and argumentative with me and I couldn't wait to get off the phone to be honest. They're called Free Mobile or something similar!

SCAM - they automatically charged a new phone to my accopunt and changed my price plan.

Got a missed call off this number - called it back and it automatically disconnected me - this happened a few more times until i gave up - didnt realise it was some scam thing..funny how we cant phone back and pester them

Got a missed call from this number on my mobile and no message left on my answerphone.  As I didn't recognise the number and have suffered numerous market research and cold calls on my landline I decided to google the phone number and see if there was any information.  From the messages above I had every right to be suspicious.  I am sure somewhere I read that these type of companies can buy lists of their customers phone numbers off companies.

got a call from this number on my Daughters phone, hassling! Definitely a SCAM! Have told her just to cancel all calls from this number.

I just Googled this number now as I've received at least 3 calls from these people (and several missed calls) claiming to be Orange and that I am due an upgrade according to their records, it seems that they're not just posing as T-Mobile then. Obviously a scam, just ignore them or have a few strong words.

I have had 01970 801068 call me on my mobile about 6 times saying they are from t mobile and i can have a free upgrade. they are not t mobile at all please becareful guys

This number has been ringing me, each day now for a week, I am not interested in taking up a new mobile contract with them. If only I could barr this call for good.

I had a miscall this morning and I typed the number on internet to find out who the call was and I came to your site. It's really good site with more info about this odd callers.

These people are complete conmen: It's a scam run by a company called "Welcome to free upgrades". They use a rack of numbers, including 01970 801068, 01873 742136, 01132 848561, 01132 848563, 01224 515221, 01970 801068. They call up saying they are from your mobile company and offering rubish phones at really high prices, which you only know they have sold to you when they arrive in the post with a massive bill, that is taken directly out of your bank account via the Direct Debit for your normal phone.

I finally got T-Mobile fraud investigators onto it, and finally extracted a real name and address. This scam is run by Tom Davidson, with the company registered to PO box 186, Leeds, west Yorksire, LS12 9AL.

I wrote to them, with the letter copied to OFCOM and TPS, and at last their hassling phone calls (between 3 and 5 times a day!) stopped. If you want to call them direct, their office number is 0800 2888858, and incredably the guy behind the scam, Tom Davidson, even answered the phone when I asked for him!

They claim that I asked to be put on their database and get calls: another lie from this buch of shysteres.

The parent company for 'FreeUpgrades.co.uk' is Mistral Telecom, Danwood House, 126 Gelderd Road, Leeds, LS12 6DQ.

Once you write to them, and copy in TPS, telling them to desist, it is an offence for them to do so. So that's why the calls stopped.

This company/con trick seems to keep on swapping numbers, as the previous ones get closed down.

They've called me today but I didn't answer

Called by this number again today. I am so sick of people cold calling. 9 times out of 10 now when the home phone or mobile rings it is cold callers-GRRRR! Why can't something be done about this, we are all busy enough without keep running to the phone to be pestered by these (often extremely rude!) people! It seems nobody is allowed any peace or privacy any more.
