Foreign speaking caller said he was from BT and my computer would stop working if ........just put the phone down. Obviously a scam not even with BT

Although a UK number, this call was blocked by my call-blocker phone.  So I can
only conclude that it was an overseas call.  I have blocked all overseas calls because
100% of all overseas calls during the three years before I put the block on were from
nuisance callers.

Said they were the IT department of British Telecom. I doubt it.
I just hung up.

After me saying hello twice, they put the phone down

Did not answer as had a scam B T call earlier today and my no is only known by a very people

Indian-sounding lady claiming to be from BT and calling about a (non-existent) fault with my broadband connection.   I felt it was dodgy, but let her continue with her script.  She asked me to go to my computer and enter a remote access web address into my browser, presumably to give her control of my computer.  When I refused, telling her that I didn't believe the call to be genuine, she hung up.   Makes a change from them pretending to be Microsoft engineers, I suppose ...!

South African sounding man, said he was from BT and that my internet will be cut off as from today.  No reason why.  I said "uh-hu" and he hung up

Foreign accent. Claimed to be from bt. 4th call. I put phone down.
