Been receiving numerous calls myself from this number, I shall be lodging a complaint with BT

I also got this call asking me about personal financial info, and saying they work on behalf of the goverment and can write off outstanding debts,if they call again I will tell them I am on the TPS and it is illegal for them to be ringing me

This asian bloke has been ringing and hassling my wife with the same bullsh#t story about a survey, he has been told to go away but keeps ringing daily so I have now decided to respond with abuse which usually ends with OFF.
Lets see how this goes.
I am now constantly ringing him back with my free phone line, this seems to be p1ssing him off

Asain lady asking to speak to Tiffany, told her she had the wrong number andhung up

I wish they wouldn't just put the phone down.........how rude!

OMG, this number is driving me absolutely bonkers, it doesnt stop ringing. I just had 4 within the space of 20 mins. Im def ringing bt to complain.

I had a missed call from this number today.  when i tried to ring it back it was just a dead line sound.
Well annoying considering i hadnt given my number to them, didnt even know what country it was from as it was + before the numeber.

called 3 times whithin an hr today answered it the first time and like u all got hung up on lol didnt answer it again, I love my caller display lol

4th time today, arrogant man always or silent call. Have filled out ofcoms report form, worth doing as if the number crops up regularly then they will investigate

3 calls between 0825 and 0835 this morning. All hung up when I answered. I have been registered with TPS for 4 years and I have to say this is the first persistent abuse of the system. Didn't know the company was 3C and will report these calls to offcom.

Just a follow up to my last. This might be the company that is calling. There is a company called 3C Limited, registered at Companies House on 4 Jan 2007, company number 06041466, nature of business not supplied. Address is 7 Scawen Road, London, SE8 5AG. No accounts filed and accounts due on 1 Feb 08 are overdue. Search of BT and 118118 give no result for telephone numbers.

Global Credit Management

"Global Credit Management" now that's a powerful sounding name, yeah right!, they don't have a clue..
Having a Caller Display helps to keep track of these phone calls, the first one was on the 9th May and was shown as 02030043198, I played him (an Asian sounding chap) along for a bit with his patter; "Sir, we can help you with 'new' Government legislation" he says, what's that I ask; "An Individual Voluntarily Arrangement" he confidently replies. "so why are you contacting me?" I ask; "because we are contacting all householders in case they need our help".. (that's nice aint it?)..
So asked him why he was contacting me as I did not live in England or Wales as an IVA is only valid in those countries, "I do not understand - you are not in those countries?" he asked perplexed, I confirmed and he put the phone down, but not before I informed him our phone number was on the 'Telephone Preference List' and must be removed..

However at 12 o'clock today; same number (and same chap I'm sure) rang again.. I think it must have taken a bit to get into his thick head I was the same person he had spoken to before especially as the conversation went the same way..
Now for 'Global Credit Management' to ring me twice in a week, and not know that IVA's are not valid in Scotland, says an awful lot about this firm.. pretty crap I'd say..
And yes I have two complaints being dealt with by TPS..

I have had a call from the above number, initally an Indian sounding lady started giving the speil others have described here.  I wanted to know how she got my name and number but she could not tell me.  I asked to speak to her supervisor and was put onto an Indian sounding guy who gave his name as "NIRAV CHANHAN".  I explained to him my number is ex-directory and I subscribe to the TPS and I wanted to know where he got my number from.  He said from a freely available source but he is unsure why I was called because they usually have markers put against TPS subscribers, blaming it on a technical hitch????

I asked for his address and he said he didn't know it!!!!!  He explained it was a newly created company and he did not have the details.  I asked him if he was calling from a residential or commercial premises and he said commercial.  I asked him whether he was teeported into the building and he said a company car picks him up.  I then asked would he mind popping ouside and seeing if the building had a name or number on it; further if he could walk to the end of the street and check what the road sign said.

I explained to him it is a legal requirement under the Business Names Act for him to supply me with the company name and trading address at which point he rang off.

I have done a search at Company's House database and there is no active company called "Global Credit Management".  A search of disolved companys revealed a "Global Credit Management Limited" which was registered to an address in Finchley, London and was dissolved on 20/12/2005.

If anyone is successful in getting details of this company I would be very interested in staring a petition for a winding up order.

I've just had 3 calls today from this number. On the third occasion I picked up the phone and didn't say anything, then very conveniently found a whistle my daughter got in a party bag beside the phone.
Gave it several blasts down the phone as I heard an asian man say hello. I left the phone off the hook for a bit and so far so good no more calls!

The main company behind 02030043198 is GE Capital and there aim is to sell you finance loans mortgages etc.

had a call from this num twice this morning first at 8am no msg left on answerphone tried to call it back num not recognised.

Who are these people, keep hanging up when i answer, i live alone and its scary,its the same number all the time

I answered it and they cut off straight away, it happened just after I had entered a telephone competition, so just wonering if they past my number onto other companies???

We've been bugged by this number calling for weeks and the rudeness of the caller(s) is astonishing. I now just let it divert to the answerphone. They don't bother leaving a message. After reading Mikes comment I rang GE Capital to ask them if they were the owners of the telephone number and they denied any knowledge of it. I told them I'd taped their conversation and if I discovered they were the owners of the number, or it had anything to do with them, I'd come back and haunt them. A few minutes later a very nice lady called Sharon (all Sharons' are nice) rang to assure me it had absolutely nothing to do with GE Capital.
