Dirt bags just rang me. I'll file a complaint via the link on this page, hopefully these scum can be forced to stop.
I don't answer any unknown numbers but let the answer-phone get them.
I recommend this practice to everyone.

For around a week now been getting up to 5 a day. Only 3 today so far. We are keeping an answer phone on all the time so not as annoying as maybe to some people but still winds me up. They never leave a message and if you do pick up never anyone there.

I had a call today at 19:44, the person did not leave any message.It was not a genuine call.

Phone rang twice within 25 mins didn,t pick it up as i`m ex directory how are these these inconsiderate idiots getting our details,can BT put their line on block?

keep ringing even we are ex directory and registered with tps !! They had my
name and were asking for financial info I told them to put it in writing as i dont discuss these details over the phone kept saying its a government survey so just put the phone down and barred the number !

The calls have been stopped since I wrote to their Company Secretary threatening to impose a £100 harassment charge each time.  Chances are that the courts would nod through modest claims for £20 / call whether answered or not.  See my post on Page 3 for the company name and address.

Same as the rest of you. Continual calls which are silent or asian sounding. I tried a loud whistle. The type you get for a footy ref to use. they are cheap, about £1.75. Oh what joy when I knew that someones eardrum just burst.
Now the boot is on the other foot. I couldn't hear them........Now they can't hear me.

This number calls numerous times a week - though not 10+ times a day, unlike some of you, thank God!

Usually a silent line when answered, or on the odd occassion, an Asian voice which I fail to understand, so hang up.  On one occassion last week, an Asian woman asked to speak to someone who's name I did not recognise. On being told there is no-one here of that name, she proceeded to say "oh, well you'll do then, I need you to answer my survey"...I told her I don't have time, and that we are registered with the TPS, and she needs to remove me from their call list. She hung up.  

These sods regularly wake my 6 month old daughter from her afternoon naps with their nuisance, pointless calls.

Have registered a complaint with Ofcom.

Have had several blank messages left on my answer machine. I am registered with the TPS and consequently receive very few sales calls these days.

Anyone know if numbers can be blocked with TalkTalk?

I ave just received a call from this number too, no one spoke to me so I did 1471 and didn't recognise it. Hey ho puts the number into google and I FIND THIS FORUM.

exactly the same thing here, 3 time in last 5 mins and wont answer when i ring back, just kept sayin he cant hear me .

I just had the same thing. I asked him for his number and he said he could not give it to me. He said he was calling about some government scheme - yeah right. I then told him what his number was and told him I was going to OFCOM after which he hung up ... a**hole. I have reported it to OFCOM but they will only do something if they have a substantial number of complaints.

got 2 missed calls from this number today , i thought the number looked dodgy

called at 7am then at 9 30 am reported this to ofcom heavy breathing the bastard was...

Received another call from these clowns last Friday. This time there was a person to speak to - Asian voice claiming to represent City Credit Management. Advised him it was illegal to contact number registered with the UK TPS.

No further calls since.

Just had a call from the prick, I know what to do next time now. haha bastard.

just had another call from this number. an indian guy was asking for me by my full name and saying he was representing a company that can help get rid of personal unsecured loans by help from the government by saying its a survey to help. he did not state which company he was from but when i was about to tell him im not interested he hung up before i could say anything.
these types of calls should be banned from the start as they are nothing short of irritating, annoying and scams.

The usual trick - computer dials our number to check whether phone is attended, at what times of the day, and then list of attended numbers passed to salesmen with predictive timing for cold calling. Complain to your Service Provider.

I have received the same caller id for about a month and never spoke to anybody. Just a dead line.i wish they would stop
