Just had a call from this number but when I answered [terrible thing, curiosity] there was no-one there.

I have had 2 calls from this number, the second separate time was earlier this afternoon, I tried to google for a registered company, but I got this forum instead at the top of the list.
I have a ex-directory phone number like a lot of other people, and it is illegal to call an ex-directory by these "Silent Callers" anyway - up to a £50,000 fine can be imposed on the companies, many more complaints and that should wipe out their back account - if they have one, the peace and quiet on a Saturday afternoon.

Just had this number call my business line. Didn't pick up as I recognized the number from this site. Glad I did now!

Had a call from this indian guy a few months back saying that I could win a prize for answering questions in a survey.  When asking what the prize was, he wouldn't say, so I wouldn't answer his questions.

I then received a call from this 02030043198 number on Saturday, 29 March, asking for me.  I was out at the time and when my wife said I was out, they put the phone down.  They asked for me by first name.

I attempted to call the number back, but it kept ringing out.

This number has called before and hung up when I've answered. Have got home from work today and had seven messages on my answerphone, although no-one's actually left a message, It's the same number! Tried ringing back but no answer

Recieved a call from this number at 11am this morning.
When i answered there was nothing.
Was online checking the number, and reading through these comments, when they rang again.
An asian guy, who had my name, and other details!
Told him we were registered with tps, and ex directory, and asked him how he had this information.
He replied "i am sorry".
I said i was reporting this number, as a nuisance call, to ofcom, and told him to remove me from thier list, and to make no further calls to my number.
He apologised, then i hung up.

Hi i have received one of these calls today 2nd of april first one was at 9.45 did not answer but this number came up then it rang again at 10.05 i anwserd it he said his mame was jack he was doing a quick survey in my area i said i was not interested and told him not to use my number again and i hung up

Ive had several calls from this comapny - I have answered at least 6 of them and each time have told the strongluy accented chap I am not interested.  I had a missed call - called it back - told them this.  Then they phoned me back about 10mins later starting all over again.

they call themselves 3v? surveys and said I completed an online survey - I do quite a few bits on ipoints so maybe this is where its from

and now Ive managed to spill melted cheese down my keyboard typing this, am doubly cross now!

Yep They're called 3C Surveys - They we're trying to flog me "a government backed deal to write off 40% of your debts".

Yes, we've been getting these calls for the past 2 days and just found more info on this website so thanks for that. We have caller display so I'm not picking up anymore but they have rung already 3 times within the past 5 minutes this morning. Have also registered with 0870 444 3969 to stop silent calls.

I just received a call from this number saying that their a goverment agency helping people to clear their debts. I told him that i dont have any debts because i've only just turned 18 and i thought a goverment agency would know wether you had debts or not! So he hanged up! Wot a weirdo! Googleed this number and sounds like the guy was about to try and scam me Dickhead!

This company is using a predictive dialer (illegal in this and a few other countries). The computer dials numbers and when the guy on the line is finished one call it routes the first open line to him. Very efficient for them but every number dialed while he's on another call goes unanswered. Hence all the silent calls.

These people are scum. Is there any way to bar incoming calls from particular numbers I wonder?

You can go to the TPS website and register with them online. It takes under a minute and stops all UK based a**holes from calling you.

They have a number called the "Silent Callgard Service" on 0870 4443969.
What they offer is a device called a Call Blocker. It costs a hefty £79 and works by interceptaing all calls with a pre-recorded message along the lines of "This number does not accept sales calls. Please press 5 if you are not a sales caller". Which does defeat all the auto dialers but will not defeat determined a**holes.

yes receiving the same calls. didn't answer the first few, but they caught me out early one morning. he was asian and told me he was conduting a survey. he new my first name.

Been ringing non stop since yesterday. I always want to pick the phone up and shout "get a life" to them.

got the same bloody number constantly calling me...i've told them i'm not interested and in the end told them to p*** off.

Received a call today from 3C. An Asian guy who couldn't speak good English. He had my address details and wanted to ask questions for a survey. I politely told him not to call this number again.

Called me twice today, missed calls, googled the number found this site.
