- Chander replies to SHIVA| 2 repliesHi Shiva,
I also received a call from this number and someone was claiming to be working in home office.
He asked for my details and was claiming that Home Office sent me 2 letters in June and no one responded. He mentioned that he is in Home office, croydon and asked me to come to see him. I was not able to find anyone with his name and number. - P| 2 repliesI have also got the call from them. They are fake people and trying to create fake passport and visas with our details and saying they are calling from UKBA and need to verify your file details. Please call UKBA and raise a complaint. I have done this please you also do.

- Sharma replies to sowmya| 1 replyI got the same experience , I got a call from this number and a person pretend Mr Smith called me from UKBA and told me that my CISA number is missing and if I will give £500 as a penalty then after 7 days there will be a granted £450 will back and £50 for processing . I was bit in panic and about to fill the western Money transfer form . At the time of filling he told me the receiver's name as Kapil Saxena and it looks not right for me and I told I am not convinced at all ... I have reported to the Police .
- Chander replies to ChanderHere is further information on this matter.
I enquired Home Office and they clearly mentioned that they close file once after they have issued ILR.
Hence I do not have anything outstanding in terms of communication/dues.
After making sure that I am clean on communication front, I called these crooks again and they were available too on the same numbers. I politely asked about what is needed and why were they not available in Croydon office and he replied that he was there but busy. I asked him on why was he not picking up his phone extension and he threw another excuse that he might be busy with someone. I asked again that the extension was jumping to some other gentlemen and he mentioned that no one is around.
He also asked me as which floor i did come to, and I mentioned that reception did not allow me any further entry as he was supposed to provide information at reception about my visit. After all of his excuses such as he is doing confidential work, secured office, verification officer etc etc I asked him to cut it short and tell me what is the end story.
He asked me to pay £400 through western union and this time i lost my patience and mentioned that he is a scammer and his details are already passed to police [ i did it last night] and they are on a lookout for him.
His tone was changed after that, he mentioned that I know a lot about home office and also started slang language "Bro". I mentioned to him that he is doing a big mistake messing around with people.
Lesson learnt:
1. Home office sends comunication through normal post however document and other things are sent through recorded delivery.
2. Never disclose any of your details.
3. Ask for number to call back and don't bother to call back.
4. If you prefer and as a peace of mind call up home office and confirm if you really have any thing outstanding with them. - AJ| 4 repliesi received a call too......i feel stupid that i gave him some of my details......can anyone of u tell me how i can complaint and to whom ?
- SG| 2 repliesI too received the call from 020 32398294 claiming that Home Office, taken all my personal details. Asking for CISNO, sent me 2 letters in May and June, I was not responded. Hence, they are calling me saying if I don't provide CISNO, they are going to deport me. Alternatively they want me to pay a fine of 500 pounds via Western Union.

At this stage suspected its a Fake call............bit too late, ofcourse I didn't pay any money. - Nan replies to SGAs other postere have said, you should contact the Home Office and tell them of this scam. Ypu should also call the police on their non-emergency number (101) and tell them what has happened. If enough people do this action should be taken.
