- AlisonThis company as still making calls! and they have changed what they are telling people, they were phoning me on behalf of microsoft!!!
Ive just had a call from the someone claiming to be an approved microsoft software engineer and they have the authority to fix the virus problems that are on my computer. I asked how do you know that my computer has a virus? (This is very interesting as a real qualified microsoft engineer looked at it on wednesday night for me)!!! Cause it is sending us error reports through the internet, You must go to your computer immediately and turn it on, so i did go and switch it on to see what they want me to do next, yes they wanted me to hit CTRL and R then type in 000000.logmein123.com. At which point I told them I was not doing that and they started again with I am a microsoft qualified engineer and have the authority to fix my computer and why do i not do as he is telling me? I asked if they had a phone number that I could phone them back on as I do not trust people that phone me and want access to my laptop and got 02032870117. He was really rude when I explained to him that I wasnt doing it as I actually told him I believed it was a scam as I used to work in a computer firm and I have never ever heard of microsoft engineers phoning customers to fix problems on their compputers that the customers know nothing about and they havent contacted us first, He then said it wasnt a scam and that I must log onto the computer and I said NO not doing it and he tried to convince meonce more and then he hung up, this whole conversation took 6 minutes with the guy( he didnt have an english accent) trying to convice me that it was free for him to fix my computer!- Caller: Microsoft.

AND FOR EVERYONE WE DO NOT DO COLD CALLS WE GET PRIOR INFORMATION EVEN BEFORE CONTACTING PEOPLE. - David| 1 replyWife took call from a person allegedly called Stan Peterson but with what seemed to be a heavy Indian accent. He said that this computer had a very dangerous virus and that I should ring him on 02032870117 without delay.
I am concerned how this person got my number and why he chose to ring me.- Caller: tech my health
- james stevensonI received a call from shane watson from Techmyhelp as a Microsoft certified Technician saying my com is having some of corrupted files and virus effected files, I asked him, How did he got to know that? He said through their R&D (Research & Development Deptt.) they are getting online error report !!!!! then he show me some of virus files, and infected files, i was frightened to see those because I had an Anti-Virus in my com even after that I was having those, later he connected me with a senior technician Chris Thomas through Logmein123.com (remote access), they transferred a AWC tool ( Adcance Window Care) scanning software into my com. after the process completed i found my com was running 10 times faster than it was running earlier.
they have done a great job, they are reliable.- Caller: techmyhelp
- H.GREEN12-07-2010 I received a call from 02032870117 stating they were a company called Techmyhealth they had received a message I had reported an error on my Windows The strange thing is I have had problems since instaling Norton 2010. I ask is there a connection between the two? The person insisted I should go to my computer switch on and they would talk me through correcting the error "I bet they would"
The person kept on saying they are based in London as could be seen by the phone number and only worked at the request of Windows.- Caller: Techmyhealth
- PeteSome one from the same comany (tech my health) has been calling for the last few weeks trying to get my dad to sign up - luckily hes still kind of with it and told them to do one. I came here to find out if he was justified and it seems so!

as scary as it sounds i believe this 2 be a terrorist threat and it is being dealt with as one
if they call you put down the phone asap - PeterReceived a call from these unworthies telling me that my PC had downloaded malicious files and that they were a Microsoft approved company. Beats me why they think they will be believed when they have no way of relating my PC to my telephone number. I hung up on them.
- Caller: Didn't bother to ask

- Brian| 2 repliesI just had this call too, the so called approved microsoft engineer from takemyhelp.com (domain expired) wanted me to look at my event viewer and tried to tell me all those events were viruses lol. he then asked me to go to logmein123.com and was redirected to https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Customer/Code.aspx (dont visit) he wanted me to type in a code so he could then fix my pc remotely.
A very bad idea and of course i did not enter the code.
I managed to record most of the call and will be posting it on my website http://www.brianmoreau.com
I done a quick check and found these scammers / hackers hae been calling alot of people.
Also i am conserned that some of the feedback here is in suport of them saying they fixed his PC. They are obviously in on the scam and the posters IP addresses should be given to the authorities.
The number was witheld but teh scam looks the same.- Caller: Take my help
- musogeek replies to Brian| 1 replyThese guys phone me a lot - I never answer if I don't know who is calling, but as a self confessed computer geek, I think I will answer next time and have a bit of fun with them now I know who they are!
- Florence HarrisThey keep phoning us and we keep telling them to stop calling us. According to them, when you have got a problem with your computer and you send the report to Microsoft, it goes to their company and they deal with it!! I haven't had this kind of message for ages!! It is impossible that they could link our computer and our phone line!! And even so, I still don't want them to call me every other day!! I wish I could stop they calling me!!!
- Call type: Prank
- Florence Harris replies to musogeekMy husband tries to have fun with them and even spoke to their so called manager!! Eventually, as they couldn't find anything to say, they got angry and started to type on their phone to disturb us! They eventually hang up on us!! Good luck!! ;)
- HeatherJust had a call from that number said we had a virus, told him I would ring him back. Googled the number and found these web pages. Why can't these guys be prosecuted?
Many thanks- Caller: Techmyhealth
