- Mrs B| 1 replyHas anyone received a call from Discover Discounts or Eternal Cosmeceuticals Ltd? I received an unsolicited call saying that I had recently bought something from Cosmeceuticals and they wanted to offer me a no obligation trial of their discount product. I said I wasn't interested, but the caller said 'let me send you our brochure - there's no obligation and if you're not interested it can just go in the bin'. I said ok and a week or so later I received a letter from Discover Discounts, saying I had agreed to a 30 day trial membership of their discount scheme and that at the end of the 30 days they will automatically debit me for annual membership of £99.99 !! The small print terms and conditions on the back of the letter say I must cancel within the 30 day trial period to avoid this charge - but only gives a phone number to call (0203 455 7400) and no UK address. The only address on the letter is an address in Marbella, Spain. This is a complete scam. At no time did I agree to a free trial of anything. Also - how did these people get my address, phone number and, presumably, my card details? This is very worrying. I have read on other forums that the people behind this have been operating this scam for at least 5 years under various different names, including Free & Easy Lifestyles, and Pressplay. The main individual involved seems to be a Mr Phillip Mason who is a director of whichever company this is (no actual company name is stated on the letter - just the trading name Discover Discounts). I intend to report this matter to both Trading Standards and the Information Commissioner's Office, as I consider my details have been passed on without my consent. I will also be phoning to cancel the so-called trial membership and telling them in no uncertain terms that they are a bunch of crooks.

- Miss AThe same thing happened to me, and I recieved my brochure today. Where you able to get through to them on the number.. I believe even ringing them costs you money! Such a scam, there is no way they should be able to get our personal details!

- D GrayI have also experience this, although no call was received. I just received a brochure in the mail. I have emailed the company Eternal Cosmeceuticals Ltd and am currently waiting on a response. Have also informed my bank although it does not say on my letter the account they have information for. Will update.

I have not bought anything from the above nor have I had any phone call.
There is the above number, the same as the other posters here, to contact but I will not be contacting it. If anything fraudulent is taken out of my account, I know i have not authorised anything and so will ask the bank/card company to refund me as it's fraud. - Mrs J replies to Mrs BExactly the same happened to me - how on earth would they have my credit card details? This is very disturbing. Did you report to anybody? If so did you get a response?
- Karen W| 1 replyApparently, they had sent me a brochure in the post which undoubtedly went straight into the recycle bin along with all the other brochures sent to me. I discovered they had taken £99.99 from my bank account. My bank were able to provide me with a contact number so I rang and demanded to know why they had stolen money from my account without me signing up for anything. This was all due to me purchasing some Rox Flawless Eyes eye serum which I have been buying on an as need basis over the past 2 years. I am now concerned that the distributor of Rox Flawless Eyes has passed my bank account details to these con men. It is absolutely appalling and the Government should do something about it. What happened to the Data Protection Act.

- Valerie replies to Karen WToday I checked my credit card statement and saw there was a payment made to Rox for £99.99. I was called on the phone by a man asking if i wanted a discount brochure, if i didn't want it just t throw it away. I didn't do that neither did i call the number because i believed it to be a scam, however when i saw the payment i recognised the telephone number ,It seems because i bought a Rox facial cream on line, they passed my credit card details to Discount Discovery and took the paymen. I ran the number and they promised me a refund within 7 days. I got my credit card company to block any further requests from ROX 02034557400. this is such a scam I wish there were a way to warn pple as Amzon UK are selling the Rox product on their website.
- Carol CI also received a phone call and brochure which I said I did not want. I phoned this company and told them I had not signed any agreement or ask to be a member of there company to which he said he was sorry and would block any more correspondence etc., I did tell him I was not very happy and I will be keeping a close look at my bank account.
- JadeI'm so unhappy I will be reporting this I'm £99 down in my account.. [***] scam
