Phone call from Computer Health Department (or something similar) about my computer & it's Windows Operating System. I knew straight away that this was a spam call as I've never registered my home number with anything to do with my PC. After searching online I found a number of threads from others who've experienced this. DO NOT follow their instructions if they call; they are trying to hack into your PC by getting you to go to their website & entering details about you/your PC.

I keep on receiving calls from this number  from very early morning to late evening: I am a severely disabled pensioner and this has become most disressing:
my landline is required for my emergency pendant call alarm system, otherwise I would not have a landline because of these nuisance spam callers.
I have registered on the internet over a year ago about nuisance callers, but these type of callers always seem to get  through.
I would appreciate any helpful information on how to stop these cold callers.

Just had a call from 02538020308 saying 'This is an important call about your computer and Windows Operating System'. I said 'What computer?', he said 'This is an important call about your computer', I said again 'What computer?', he asked 'You don't have a computer?', I said 'You tell me', he hung up!

Does anyone know what to do about these cold callers?  Who passed my details to them?  I have that pesky number ring me EVERY SINGLE DAY
