Got a call from a guy saying he was Jason ,what bollocks that is, he was on about PPI we have never had any as we paid cash for the house,car,furniture and all we don't believe in loans,if we can't pay cash we do without,so Jason and his offer can you know what with bells on.

Just received a call from this number. The call was connected but noone spoke.  I hung up. Having read the above, I'm glad I did.

Automated message saying shed repeat everything i said. Great, probably yet another Nigerian scam!!!

Its FIRST CALL. Thats what they said anyway, and they wanted to get someone to call me about PPI. Sounds like they must be sales people trying to generate leads as they deal in different things (having read the above comments). At least she didnt hang up. Just sounded sad when i told her not to call me.

Got a call from this number. Bet thing to do is answer but leave the phone until they hang up. They tend not to call back then but if they do answer it and leave it again. I do this with most of this type of call and they soon get fed up :~)

These oxygen thieves are apparently 1st Call Connect.  They are listed with Companies House as a recently disolved company so that tells you something for a start.  Their website is still up and running however and actually quotes their now-defunct company registration number  -

Regus House is a building where people can rent temporary office space. So this should also set alarm bells ringing as this is one way fly-by-night companies can look legit and then do a runner if they get too much grief.  I'm not saying everyone who rents office space from Regus is dodgy, far from it as the vast majority are very respectable and legit, but if a company is based somewhere where there are no ties or commitments it makes it easier to disappear...

The phone number obviously goes straight to an answer phone.  I guess you could leave the number of another company who are bothering you with phone calls, and maybe get some dialogue going between this set of sh!thouses and some others....

It would appear they have got some web design bloke to build their website, to avoid people tracking them down that way. www.lgrahamportfolio.co.uk is registered with someone called Lee Graham who builds crap websites.  I guess he could be involved in this as he lives in south Wales not far from where 1st Call Connect say they are based, but probably unlikely.  Tip for those who don't know - using google and 'whois' can lead to websites where sometimes you can turn up interesting info on people who own websites.....

Anyway, 1st Call Connect sound like the financial services equivalent of those ambulance-chasing personal accident companies.  There will be a handful of complete scam artists behind this who have invested a small amount in obtaining the services of an Indian call centre in order to blanket call anyone whose number they can get their grubby little hands on from any lists flying round the internet.

If they continue to call me several times a day I will be doing a bit more concerted digging and I will find out who owns 1st Call. All the stuff above took about 10 minutes of work so not exactly much. And then I will publish all their details on here and leave it up to anyone bothered by them to do whatever they feel like with their phone numbers and addresses....

I am getting sick and tired of this number keep calling my mobile 3 - 4 times on a daily basis. They never leave a message and to be quite honest am getting very annoyed with them. I treid calling it back and it was an automated voice going on about being transferred to the correct telephone extension and service.

why cannot the telephone companies stop these numbers, and how do they get our numbers in the first place

Had a couple of calls from this number rang back and pretty much same as all above. well dne to the guy who is tracking the company down. They get on my nerves, and call at very unsociable times.

Got a call today. Seems they have been calling a lot of people judging by the messages on here.

ANSWER - WARNING REGARDING THESES NUMBERS.

Got a phone call from this number twice, tracing back the number, it's a VOIP system that some company is using for scamming/cold calling illegally, often from india or africa, they puchased a 0207 telephone number or get it for free like some VOIP companys provide, making people thinking it's a legit british telephone number, when you phone them, you maybe automatically forwarded to a 0900 number, where you are asked to wait while you are being connected, or asked to give details regarding the call you got, or just be someone under a fake Telemarketing.

Theses sort of people have already been reported to the athorities and watchdog and there is a scammers warning regarding this issue, voip company have already been sued for allowing their customers to forward their "local" number to a "premier rate" call regarding this issue.

I advice people that, if you answer the phone, do not phone back on 1471 if you do not know the number, look up the number first to see if anyone else has had the same experience as you.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This number has been calling me 4 weeks if I answer the phone they never talk and if I call back n there is a message saying this is an echo test and everything I say gets repeated back too me can someone plz tell me who these people are thanx x x x

This number called but I just rejected it, being a London number, bound to be sales or something.

got two calls today people claiming back ppi, told them did not have any twice !!!! and said stop phoning me :(( he said sorry and hung up grrrrrrrrr!!!

I have had numerous calls from this number, they never leave a message, so I just ignore them now.
