I received a 'silent' call from 0207 0750323.
Whe I replied back there was this 'endless' music! Yes, just continues boring music - not even a ring tone!!

I missed a call from this number whilst talking to my neighbour - I grabbed the phone is it stopped tining.  I tapped in 1471 and it gave this number - I have family in London so thought nothing of it and rang it back - endless boring music - why??

I also got called by this number - I belvie they use it to generate money?

not sure though -anyway I hung up fast

Received a call today from this number, it's a call centre  called Infotronics.

They claimed to be calling about a seminar, but couldn't tell me what the seminar was about or who was running it - and had an out of date address for us. Also couldn't understand that we're not the type of business they thought we were and couldn't get their head around the idea that their named contact might not actually be the contact they needed.
Dreadful dreadful experience - if this was a real call (and I doubt it was), then shame on Infotronics for such shoddy work.

A lady with Indian accent just phoned from this number on a very disturbed line, the call could well come from an overseas call centre but with a local callerID displayed.
She said to be calling from a company called ICCS and insistently (and rudely) asked for the correct managing director's details to update their records, she went like she didn't believe me at all trying to make me talk and going over the name a few more times and asking every time to confirm if that was the Managing Director's name (should have hung up in her face just for that).
I have asked her what she wanted and she then explained that she needs the most updated details because she has to send out an invitation to some conference/seminar taking place soon. After giving her the wrong information (she had a very old contact name stored in their database and I just confirmed it to be still up-to-date) she asked how many employees my company has, I just shoot a random number and cut the call short telling her I was busy.  To my opinion this is a marketing company managing/selling a database of contacts to third parties.
When somebody rings them back their system may well log the number of the caller and mark it as good number to use in the future, so my advise is to ring them back from a payphone if you really do need to, don't trust the 141 prefix.

It would appear these lot are now offering accountancy services and can save us 80%.  They called the wrong people though as we are a firm of Chartered Accountants.  They soon hung up!

received a call to our switchboard today from this number and a man asked for me by name. I didn't answer the call and looked up this number on the internet to see if it is listed. Glad i did. I work for a major oil comapany and would like to know how they got my name?!!!

pass #2 from this bunch of cowboys, although today I got the silent call treatment. Grrr.

Took a call from this number today, left a 15 second blank "message" in my voicemail.  Upon trying to call it back, our isdn30 line reports a "temporary fail" problem.

Spammed our entire 200 number DDI range between 1330 and 1400 today.

They spoke to 3-4 different people at the company, requesting a whole load of information ranging from Directorial staff phone numbers to firewalls and everything in between.

Worth reporting, but who too?!

I was called from this number today, it was Infotronics, when I asked him for the postal address of where he was calling from he said he was not at liberty to tell me that and hung up, his name was chris o'conner, well he said it was.

If you call them on 0203 178 4373 (with hold your number first) and explain what has happened.  The switchboard will either try to put you through to either:

Dean Wards - Sales and Marketing Director or Rajesh K - Managing Director

If you are told they are not available - ask to leave a message on their voicemail.

I believe if enough people call and express their concerns about the lack of integrity shown by Infotronics UK Ltd hey might get fed up having to listen to numerous voicemails and having their time wasted too.

Might sound petty and childish, but until they start operating professionally I encourage you to follow our led and 'waste their time too'.

Took another call today from this number 0207 0750323 - that's four in total in the last two days.

The person said they were calling from AXA PPP Healthcare.  I asked them to respect my registration on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).

The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the central opt out register on which you can record your preference not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls to your home or mobile telephone numbers.

It is a legal requirement that all organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent to do so.

She hung up.

I have now called AXA PPP Healthcare on their head office number Tel: 0870 608 0850 and have requested that the desist from calling and that they respect the TPS (as, I say they have a legal obligation to do so).  The man said that whilst he would add my details to their database for removal that AXA PPP Healthcare ignore the TPS and then hung up.

I called AXA PPP Healthcare on their head office number Tel: 0870 608 0850 a second time and spoke to Sandra Drewitt in Customer Relations.  She confirmed that AXA PPP Healthcare have a legal obligation to respect the TPS and that she would both remove my details and investigate the information I had been offered incorrectly by the AXA PPP Healthcare employee.

I would advise that if you get pestered by unwanted marketing calls, having alrwady registered with TPS, that you call AXA PPP Healthcare on their head office number Tel: 0870 608 0850 and request that the Customer Relations dept act on this abuse and illegal action.

Failing that, contact the The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) who is responsible for the enforcement of these TPS regulations - that's is what I intend to do if AXA PPP Healthcare continue to call.

Caller is persistent, impudent and refuses to take no for an answer. He said he was from Business Performance and needed to set up a meeting with the directors. I told him, they weren't interested and he replied that he wanted to hear that from them! He can piddle off!! He's another putputding!

I would like to open a line of communication for anyone who feels that they need to speak to me and also outline how we operate.

To shed light on why you hear music when you call the number.  this is due to the fact they we hire a leased line into the UK and unfortunately when you dial it terminates at the exchange. We do this ensure no-one dials an overseas number and incurs charges.  Also to reassure everyone we make no MONEY from the return call.

Also with regards to persistent calls, We abide by UK standards and all our 'purchased' data is screened through the TPS register Screen. Anytime that we are supplied data by a client and contact a registered customer they should be apologised to and then placed on the list to ensure that they are not contacted again. Ant i can only apologise on behalf of our company and  if you wish to call me to discuss please ask for me at our switchboard and i will return your call and look into how this happened.

We try and ensure that all calls are made to the highest standard, and have, over the last 6 years built a reputation of integrity and honesty.  I am sure many will agree that as we have 250 calling executives making 100-150 calls each per day that unfortunately rogue calling happens.  
To combat this we record EVERY call and have a quality team who check standards.  in regards to the above issues i will personally review each complaint received and feedback to the responding company.

I am sure that potentially this could be abused, but i do this as an act of reassurance that these calls are the exception not the norm for Infotronics.

Just received a call from 02070750323 which rang once then stopped.  As a previous poster has put, just enough time to log a missed call encouraging you to call back - hey presto they've made their money.  The number could be diverted via an overseas call centre so you pay a premium.

Judging from this thread, Robert Read, this is the norm not the exception.

MISSED CALL - CALLED BACK, JUST GOT HOLD MUSIC, DIDN'T EVEN SAY WHO IT WAS.
