    John,

Did you have to give them any details? The lady I spoke to had great difficulty in getting her point across (thought it was a con)... did they say the name of the company think she said the company name was Free Choice...

    Ring any Bells?

    Cheers,

I think perhaps "John" and "Rastaman" have come on here with positive posts to try and persuade people that these calls are legitimate.  May I suggest that it is a very bad idea to give bank or card details to a stranger on the 'phone, no matter how convincing they may sound, on the promise of an iPad,  Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  There are a lot of scammers out there.

competition as usual, 44 quid for a share in 800+ lottery tickets, after a bit of social engineering found out it is this company

    http://www.eurochance100.co.uk

address of the dtd euro services however is one of the offices in roxwell house, argall avenue, Leyton London E10 7QY

never ever ever give out bank details to unknowns, all you people above? jesus christ, don't trust people ringing like this, just ignore the competitions, accept that you wont get anything and that they just want your money somehow

    A guy who got called
I got called about 5 minutes ago and was told something about VTV Europe (from what I recall). I'm 16 and when I gave them this information and said I don't recall entering the competition the lady talking to me said, and I quote, "Child do not argue with me". Surely there's some sort of trading standards rule that means they can't treat me as such, what absolute disgusting behaviour. They then wanted to talk to my parents without telling me why. Someone has to report this company and get them sued, they've been ringing me the whole of today

Have had loads of calls this week from an 020 number, answered and they asked for me by my maiden name. Told them no such person exixted and they hung up. All very rude. Then they called my mobile and said I'd won £10000 and an ipad, then asked me to pay £44 every month for a chance to win euro millions. Told them I was working and to ring back. I will not be answereing the number again. Thanks for all the messges. A real help.

its not that its a scam, there just running a syndicate for the lottery where the only people that benefit are them.....you pay £44 a month along with 99 other people and for that you get 620 lottery tickets a month, which to be fair sounds great....however the lottery tickets only cost £1240 and there getting £4400 from the 100 people in the syndicate....Greta profit for them!!

At what point do you think Profit is so large that it becomes Scam?
