Serial calls from this number. No-one there when answered and no answer when calling back.

Called today, 27-12-11, 15.00hrs, hung up when i answered, any one know who it is?

Some "Foreigner" called today 03/01/2012 at 12.00  telling me I had problems with my computer, told them i was a computer Engineer. thenhung up

incomprehensable - supposed to be speaking english but I understood 1 word in 4.
Asked if I had a computer, so I hung up. As these scammers have tried that before.

Advised that my computer has a virus!!!!.  Told  the caller that the conversation was being recoerded (he didn't mind) but hung up when I pressed him as to the locality of the  0121 288 3639 he quoted to me as his calling number.  It wasn't when  I dialled 1471.

This number keeps calling, an Indian accent, and goes by the name of Robert Williams.. (Not THE Robbie Williams, I thought? (lol) .. says he has detected a problem with my computer. I asked him to stop calling as I am very busy, each time he says he will call again.. and he does!  I asked him for his number to check him out,  the number he gave is 020 881 99827. As soon as I hung up, he called again and left me a message saying he would call again in 30 minutes. which he did. I told him what I thought of him and that I would report him to the Police if he called again. He did called again, and when I answered, he hung up!
Hopefully that will be the last call ??

yep just had a call from an indian sounding man, he told me he was calling from the technical support department, he said he's just received an online error report from my computer, i told him i dont have a computer. when pressed he wouldnt tell me what company he was calling from or where he got my name and phone number.  i told him he was doing something dodgy and trying to con people.  then i hung up on him.

Called me to day 17/1/12 that I had a virus on my computer when I asked what company he was from he hung up

had someone phone me today saying that my computer was sending him problems and he wanted to run a scan on it i told him that my pc was fine and it all updated a few weeks ago, so hung up on him as he was getting on my nerves, 2 min's latter he rang again did not answer,,  got taken in by a scam like this before and i am not going to be taken for a ride like this again !

this number keeps ringing me, and then hanging up. If I ring back there the tone for no such number

Had lots and lots of calls from this number.  As everyone else says, was someone with an indian accent. Said he worked for Microsoft and had our microsoft ID and that he had got information that we have a problem with our computer(we haven't at all!)Told him we are sick of scams so not interested yet he continued to babble on and on. In the end my husband hung up on him.

Keep getting calls where the caller hangs up immediately on answer - 1471 gives the number as 02081231745. So annoying.

I screen my calls, as soon as the answer machine kicks in the caller from this number hangs up

Sounds Indian. Have had this call several times and the last time I pretended I believed him and strung him out for about 7 minutes. By this time he had his Supervisor whispering instructions in his ear. I stopped at the point where it appeared I would be handing over control to him. As IT Support Manager for a large Financial Services Company I wasn't going to be taken in by this scam. Microsoft should take action against this company as they are claiming to represent Microsoft in their blurb.

Had this call today 22/1/12, advising I had a Trojan Horse on my PC which was affecting my "other" computers. When asked who they were, the reply was World Wide Web !
When advised I only had one PC, they hung up !
Tried to ring the number back and got the automated reply "number doesn't exist"!

I've had 5 phone calls from 02081231745 since 1015 and it's only 1330. I'm on PPP (?) Ex directory and  I work shifts and get fed up with having to silence my phone
I missed 3 but managed to pick up 2 and there was no one there.
I would dearly love to talk to these 'kin idiots and waste their time ....

Had a call today

An indian sounding guy who called himself Mark Donald based in Kensington London phone number 0208 1231745 telling me he is from the WWW. Cyber security team and that my computer is affecting the local broadband due to a virus.

Like another reporter I too have extensive IT knowledge and kept him on the phone for five minutes playing along, before telling him I dont own a computer he hung up...

Had a call today from an Indian/Asian sounding guy (Phillip apparently) on 01212883639. He said he was from the 'World Wide Web' I spent around 20 minutes on the phone with him. He tried to get me to let him have control of my PC and said that my PC was effecting other servers in my county. I told him I didn't belive him and after some more exchanges he told me that he would be taking legal action against me and I would be reciving a letter then hung up on me. He called me by a different name (probably  the last person my number was registered to) and said he was based in Greater Manchester.
