Exactly the same as this happened to me on 19/12 so they are very active. They had the same patter about the chocolates so this is part of their script. I was conned but I should have known better as something seemed wrong but I wasn't smart enough to avoid the sting probably because I am so old. The golden rule must be NEVER agree to business on the phone where you don't have time to consider the options.

Kent UK---My elderly mother in law received a call from these nice peolpe on 19th December 2011 and conned her out of £99 they obtained her bank credit card details.
They sent the device turned up today and is the same as above.
They sent invoice with deatils www.bestpowersavers.com and address in US 9 Horton Drive Huntington Station New York 11746 tel.0845875-0000

I scammed the scammers, I knew full well when they called as it had happened to my Nan before. they took me through all the general [***], slowly working their way towards the bank details. When they got there I feigned confusion, gave them all the wrong dates of birth, wrong name, and 16 digits off the top of my head. twice. Just to waste a little more time. I then told the man on the end of the phone i knew it was a scam, told him to go [***] himself and hung up. the proper way to deal with fraud, waste as much of their time as possible. WINNER!

These guys are still at it, with all the same patter including choc's etc. They even knew most of the private details already.The number I was give is  02034684243 and said they were based in London.

I also got a call from a person Named Richard Williams, about above scam. But the guy was nice and had a lovely voice

A  lady Jenny Scott even dont know how to speak.
ask her to take some classes to speak english.
She was the Manager over there, if the Manager are Like the then you can think how big scamers they are.

she was reading everything from a script like a robot.
I gave all my Details..
But the best part was that the Card which i gave was already exp.
So i make fool on her.

My blind 82 year old mother was very stressed trying to read out her bank card numbers with a magnifying glass and was conned into giving them £125 for the electric device. Exactly same spiel, bills paid on time etc. The caller said they were from Sorbet Solutions - (Google for website.) She was called from 02081233438 (and not 02084329521 as mentioned above). My sister rang them back to cancel and spoke to Paul Woods (as mentioned previously, linking the two numbers together -it is the same outfit) She also cancelled my mothers card.
Sorbet solutions advertise a wide range of waffly IT and business services but then there's a big section on one electricity saving device for sale. This is the only item they sell. It doesn't hang together really. A 14 day refund service is mentioned. The number for this is 02088199828.

No offence, but having dealt with a lot of Indian Call centers in my time, it is quite clear by your broken English that this is your second language... looks like you cannot convince this mob, change your CLI/Brand and provide a real service... may just work for you.

Yep...me to! Just been called, always dubious when the caller has an Indian accent - no direspect meant to anyone,they are only doing a job. I was offered a plug in device to save 40% off my electricity bills in then future subject to a one off payment as I have been a good payer etc etc as above...then he asked for my name - which he already had and my address then he confirmed that I has 2 pensioners living in the household - WRONG! Now I knew something was definately fishy and the information he had is 3 years old! I politly asked him to remove my name and contact details - end of conversation. A scam...please dont be drawn into it.

This particular scam has been on a few BBC1 programmes like "Fake Britain" etc., and electricity suppliers have confirmed that, not only does this device not work, but it can be dangerous.  As these people seem to be targeting the elderly anyone receiving one of these calls should contact Action Fraud and report them.

I had an Asian man calling himself Freddie cal me this afternoon. Obviously reading in very broken English from a script. He told me he was from Electricity Headboard ans that he could see that I always paid my bills on time & had good credit rating so he could let me have 40% off my bills for life. I asked why my electricty supplier was giving him details of my electricity payments and he put the phone down!

Such a pity you can't trust people any more? Have just committed the cardinal sin of giving out card details over the phone, (something I'm always telling my wife not to do). Having read some of the foregoing though I now feel as though I'm just one of a large crowd. These people obviously have no empathy, (fellow feeling) as I've now had to block my bank card and will have to wait 7/10 days for a new one. I fortunately only gave out the long card number and the exp date. Got suspicious after that although the company phone number 02034684243 was definitely answered by the same man when I called it. Pity there's no way of blocking up their phone for a couple of hours? Anyway I'll have to come clean to my wife now and feel stupid, as I obviously am for getting caught.

Yep, I've just been rung by these, my caller ID showed the number 009? I had a lady explain all the above, and was put through to her supervisor when I questioned why she wanted the name I had on my bank card & why on earth they wanted my expiry date, when in fact I'm not the 1 that pays the bill! I was then passed onto the 'supervisor'.
I started askin the 'supervisor' the same questions and also the company name, he said it was '???? Technology Ltd' but also said 'Electricity Headboard' when pressed too. I then asked for a contact number to verify and was given one, a private home number in Bishop Auckland, which I found out when I rang back!. When I started asking more questions I had the phone put down on me, lucky escape I'd say!

I just got the same call yesterday in Alberta Canada.
