- HelenI used to work here and quit after a few weeks.
I would say that most of the employees dont realise this, so give them a break. When the employees do realise this then they quit, but they get the new patch of sheep to make these calls.
The names are not true, there no David Castles or linda Holmes etc ...everthing is fake and I feel bad about getting money from people who are doing great things i.e school health meals.........please stay away...xx- Call type: Telemarketer
- JOY replies to NemI just received a call from William Rose claiming exactly the same thing and the prices as stated below. I explained that the percentage that tooK from my relatively small turn over being a very small business was just not feasible.
I've also been targeted by advertising scammers before from the North West who try to blag small amounts of money with the promise of advertising.
These people are shameless and should be shut down - I'd advise anyone contacted to go to trading standards and then when these people ring back make it clear that you're on to them - I did and thankfully haven't been bothered since. - StuartSame story here!! With hind sight all the signs were they. The fishing for information at the start. Then when they said our software was very well acclaimed in the industry. Thought that's odd, we're not really known yet. Not enough share of the market yet
Was going to pass info onto my boss, and when his website didn't come up due to spelling mistake, When I typed ParliamentaryYearBook into Google, i saw "Scam" as a possible option in the predictions. Thought "hello"?
Just out of principle, I've shown interest in this websites Google Ads at the top as if it wasn't for adverts like these, this website wouldn't exist. Just one click guys to say thank you!!- Caller: ParlimentaryYearBook

- Lorraine replies to CraneWe had a call this morning for the MD from David Chen fo the parliamentary year book calling from 0208 9564110. He was offering us space in a special "international food & drink" feature. He only got as far as me as the MD's PA but after seeing this website the message will go in the bin!
- Natalie| 1 replyThe scam is still alive and kicking. Posh voice, loads of praise, good sales pitch - just £2,750 for an A4 ad and editorial - no money required upfront. The number has changed slightly; it's now 0208 956 4110. The are currently running it on the Digital Economy Act. Beware!

- Liam replies to CraneJust got off the phone to a Mary O'Connor as well and wouldnt give what she was calling about but asked to speak to someone in our office who wouldnt be able to actually help her which I found funny. I tend to always google phone numbers asking for people. if it doesnt return a company name anywhere and just lists the telephone number websites I know its a sales call and dont pass it on.
- Jo replies to NatalieJust had exactly the same call as Natalie had - from the same number! I had the same type of call last year, knew it was a scam so followed it up with the MP they used and he knew nothing about it! Tut tut!
- Malcolm| 1 replyI keep getting left voice mails asking me to ring them. No menetion of what it is about. I did answere the phone to them a few years ago and really stuggled to get them off the line without being rude.
- Caller: Blakes Parlimentary Office
- 02089564000 replies to MalcolmSadly a member of our company signed up for this and they are now chasing us for a cancellation fee.
They are asking for 50% of the value of the entry (£2,750).
We are in two minds:
1) After a discussion Blakes will accept 20% of the cancelation fee not 50%
2) Ignore the invoice and see if they take further action
Any thoughts anyone? - JPAgain with "Mark Hanson" of Blake suggesting he was returning a call from our managing director.. obviously a lie. Mentioned the CBI but undoubtedly nothing to do with them..

- Wendy| 1 replyJust received a call from Clive Corman of Blakes Parliamentary Information office asking for our CEO with regards to writing a report on Excellence in the Rail. Thought about passing to our PR department but before I did I looked on google and found this website. Glad I didn't forward my message after reading all these reports.

- PA to the MD replies to WendyWell well well. I just had a call half an hour ago from Leila Harrington at Blakes Parlimentary office wanting to speak to our MD. Posh accent. Fast talking. Trying to sound like she was intelligent and thinking she could talk me into passing on her message for our MD. Could not send me an email with further details and got quite stroppy when I told her that it was very unlikley our MD would call her back. Googled Blakes Parliamentary office straight away and here we go. Got ya Leila. Go on...call me back!! Keep wasting your time!! I'm not putting you through.... She said it was in regards to a report on UK inward investments and promised it was not a sales call. She wanted him to call her back on 0208 956 4110. So glad I found this website.
- 02089564110Received a phone call from Jake Deadman from blakes parliamentary office. I'd never heard of them before but took their details, put them on hold and tried to get in touch with the person they were after (who I found out later had their details given at an earlier point). [Fortunately] I couldn't get in touch and said I'd let them know they called. Later found out about this, so I'm kind of thankful really!

- JudeJust got a call from Mary O'Conner wanting to speak to our MD. Told her he was in meeting and asked for her telephone number which she gave as 0208 956 4000. My suspicious mind guessed she was trying to sell something so looked the number up on your site. I love your website - I am now ready for when she calls back!
