Call at 17:55 on 10/6/2015.

Caller: "This is Henry from Accident Helpline. How are you today, sir?"

Me: "I think you must have the wrong number"

'Click' They hung up without saying another word.

I then dialled 1471 to retrieve the number - twice. It definitely was given as 0211 112323, even though that isn't a valid UK number. These ambulance-chasing scumbags must be faking their Caller ID. I'm registered with the TPS, of course, so the call was illegal.

Putting these scammers on the TPS list is a waste of time, the TPS are useless, teethless and a total waste of time in the current environment. It needs something else like a national database that will clear the existing history and then act quickly against new callers. I am afraid the new technology is running faster than the TPS.

from the national accident helpline gave the poor git a mouthful and put the phone down.

0211112323 called said they heard i had a small accident,  i said hold on a minuet, i will get my husband, put the phone on the side and let them keep waiting.

Just received a call from this number to  my home phone. Often don't answer but decided I will answer some and make it clear that these contacts are unsolicited and unwelcome. Nobody even spoke. Had a look on here to see if I could find any information - what a waste of space these cold-calling companies are!

Missed call at 16:08. They cannot be checking the TPS register as my number is on the list.

as reported in the very first post of this thread, the number is not a genuine UK number.       No matter which list you might be on only genuine UK companies will bother checking it.     You expect too much of a free service, especially one which exists only to protect the reputation of the UK marketing industry.

This number called at 1pm and hung up as I answered it - why do they do it?

A call this morning at 10.08am.  "Heatwise" wishing to confirm the age of my boiler.  Gave him short shift and hung up.  TPS is utterly useless.

This caller has now diversified into replacement boilers. I would quite like to boil them - in nitric acid!!!

This number called asking for my husband and became very annoyed when I refused pass them on. They wanted me to work on my computer and change things following their instructions, I of course refused but they kept pushing.  The call lasted some minutes and was only ended when I stopped speaking and stayed quiet.  They tried to say they were in London, I am sure not.
