Sick to death of this number ringing me at least twice a day and no one speaks

Same,lots of calls,no one there

They ring, but no one is there...

Rings then disconnects when answered.

They rang and I did have someone there, the person they were looking for isn't on this number though but chances are it is regarding either ppi or loans. The person they asked for seems to quote this number when filling out web forms to claim ppi or look into loans and I'm sick of getting all their calls. Although a local number it was a foreign call centre.

I have had 2 calls today from this number today and one very similar which is the same except the last digit is a 9. I was not home to pick the call up but it shows up on caller ID. Does anyone know who they are? I am ex directory and only a small amount of people have my home number so I'm baffled as to who this is.

Called today, female with an Indian accent and asked for Ms ......( males friend family name ) I said this person doesn't exist.I think is gathering information and then passing it on. Our phone is registered with the Telephone Preference Service so there shouldn't be any unwanted calls.

Is this a scam no. as I have been called re. a loan I supposedly had taken out and they wished to reimburse me with the PPI element

Called I think three times today, no one there each time and just goes dead.

Ditto Lynda I have just been called about a loan I did take out in 2005 repaid in 2008 - I cant remember the Bank which they said they needed confirmation of before assisting me further.  Is it a scam or can you apply for the refund yourself>

This number rang me 7 times yesterday, each time no-one was there when I answered and then after a few seconds the line went dead. So far they have rung 3 times today same thing each time so I have lodged a complaint with Ofcom. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS so would love to know where they obtained my number.

iv been getting these calls for a while now, about a year ago i asked 1 of these where they got my number from, as it is ex-directory, they told me(although i cant remember it now) it was a website, you pay a subscription and you can get any phone number.
So worth the fee if your a business trying to get customers, or if your a scammer trying to rip people off and get more details.

If they phoned you then they are anyone, dont tell them nothing.
If you have spare time ask them lots of questions, although they will most probably hang up.

A man with a thick indian accent called me a few weeks ago and asked for the wrong name when I said they had the wrong number he then said f**k off then, I said pardon as I thought I had heard wrong and he repeated it again, I told him not to call again. This evening another man with a thick indian accent called to speak to someone and I told them that they had the wrong number - he then said 'do not be afraid - do not be afraid' and then put the phone down. Am disgusted, just registered my number with TPS - wish I knew who it was.

i`ve had calls from this number repeatedly now for nearly two years and the dozy twits have been told that the number they are phoning doe`s not belong to the person they want  (THICK) using TPS hope to get sorted

Hung up when I answered the phone and you cant call back. I am registered with the telephone preference service too, it doesnt seem to make a difference.

I am so tired of this number calling two and three times every day.

I got a call from this number had them many times but this time there was an Indian man who called me darling, are you scared but don't be I can come to your house and help you with your needs, then another person came and started saying all sorts of things I told them I am going to report your number and then he said [***] you and disconnected

Before disconnecting he said he was calling from npower reg promotions

They called me today asking for my wife, said they had details of a loan she'd taken out that had been passed on to them, I pressed for details and they gave some details of a loan she hasn't taken out. She said the company was BPI Claim Line and are part of another company (couldn't make out the name) and they're regulated by the Ministry of Justice. She hung up on me when I pressed her for the company name that they were part of.

Received 3 times already today and only 12.25pm!

had this number call numerous times and nearly answered it as its very similar to my daughters college number - well if it is ppi I wont be answering it and have barred the number on my phone :)

in answer to a question above from Charlie  - If you have a loan or had one in last 15 years and had ppi miss sold then you can claim it back yourselves - if you go to martin lewis's web site, moneysavingexpert  dot com he shows you how to do it and its easy. then the whole of the compensation is yours no third party fees
