I just got a call from this number, has been happening all week. From what I can tell it's from hong kong, sound just like the one Matt F describes

recieved a call about casino survey. invite to canberra for a promotional party the next night and raffle ticket. apparently won $40000 second prize. says they are from Liguan group, indian lady, "Noreen"
very skeptical cos had a call from so called "microsoft technical services" saying i may have a virus, known scam. trying to find out more before i give any infor

i just got this call saying ive won $400.000 hk dollars in this rafle is it a scam, i wonderi filled out claim form ( no bank details) they r going to ring me back

everyones a winner on this one i won 400,000 hkd its a very obvious scam.

dose anyone know what they are after, bank details? cash? identity theft? its amazing just how little information someone needs to steal your identity.

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT USUALLY IS, something to remember, companys dont make money by giving it away to people they dont know. Something to think about for those who believe it may be real.

we got acall from the same group asking questions about casinos. They apparently want information    ( survey) about weather they could put a casino in a shopping mall. For answering 4 questions they said we would be sent out an ipod. I gave them my work adress to mail it to. We will wait and see if it arives.

My husband was told he won 400000hkd.  Looks like we've been taken in.  Did anyone go to this promotional party?  They actually sounded believable.  We were told it was on last Wednesday night 21st July.  Take care everybody.

I also done the survey and i won 2nd price worth$400,000HK,  which filled out the claim form as name "Noreen Sy" keep calling me giving updates. their phone number is 0731026086,  Address #26/115-120 johnson road Hillcrest 4118 QLD brisbane. after I sent back the form she call me saying that her supervisor will call be back. that was last friday 23-july-2010 but until now i didn't receive any call from that person. its because my partner is very suspecious and want me to asked their company ABN but she said she will inform the person who is incharge. which a bit strange coz it should be everyone know it. so i asked her again after an hour about their ABN so she give me their website instead but it doesn't exist. today still didn't hear from them. my partner was browsing internet and he found this website and told me. so i did called noreen and asked about this messages. asked how many person won 2nd price and what she said is i am sure that you all talking about their company so i said its very clear as they stated the  company name and her name as well. she did not seems surprise. all she said is to look for this website. so i asked their ABN again and she said she will remind the person who's incharge for it.

I also was told I won $400,000 hk dollars I filled out the forms and was eventually passed onto the manager I was then told a quicker way to transfer the money is electronic transfer then I was like hang on this must be a scam now I'm calling police in morning whether they can do a background check or see if they are legit see how we go tomorrow

If you *win* money in a raffle you never entered or have no ticket for then use your common sense.


It's a SCAM!!!!

They forwarded the copy of the raffle ticket thru email. and a copy of cheque  for me to check the details before they will send the original one. but then until now the their supervisor didn't call yet.

i have also got this same phone call saying i have won $60,000, yes they sound very convincing, so they have my name an address etc so is that all scamers need im very worried now!!! i guess it depends what there intensions are has anyone reported them yet??

just had a number of phone calls to say i won the 2nd prize draw.   thanks for the feed back.  they can go jump.

Oh my gosh I just gave them my email address, but won't be giving them anything else....I didn't think it was true, but needed to get more information out of her....the website address brought me here, everything else she told me has already been written here...I too won the 2nd prize! Scammers.

Woman told me that I had won second prize $400,000 Hong Kong

I just got a phone call from this same group saying I have also won second prize of $400,000HKG from the raffle drawn last night (02 Aug 10) at party in Vulture Street Brisbane.
The lady who called was Lenie on 07 3102 6086 from the Liguan Group.
Who should I contact to report this to.............. as it is obvioulsy a scam of some sort?
