caller identified themselves fromCDPP Commonwealth director of Public prosecutions - me or my attorney should contact this number urgently, there is an open case in my name for tax evasion & fraud, I should not ignore this call ... SCAM !!!!!

I got the same message on my phone last night! Sounded very dodgy - but he did wish me a "blessed day" at the end!

I had a call left on my home phone today. I called back they say they are from the Taxation Office I hung up!  Not sure if it's legit?  I called my accountant they say they haven't heard anything about me from the Taxation Office?

I know there has been warnings about getting calls like this, so I'm being cautious!

I got the same message today. I checked the number for the CDPP on their website in the Canberra [said he was from ]branch and it did not match. Surely a scam.

I got the same message and they left the same number, who is investigating it?

We got the same message on our phone on Sat 8th Aug. I listened to the voice msg today and thought my husband hasn't paid the tax and asked him to call the number (0261528667) as the matter seemed so urgent! Then I googled the number and saw you comments and realized that it was a scam! So helpful. I hope someone is investigating this seriously as they can easily deceive people. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that I am receiving such dodgy phone calls in Australia... So strange!

I got home from being out, had a message to call about not having paying my tax.

Called spoke for 20 mins to Christopher Paul, and told me someone was coming to my house 30 mins later.

I rang another person after getting of the Phone and they told me it was dodgy.
