Who is this number?

They just called me too.  It's Retone - a toner cartridge supplier based in Byron Bay.

These people are scum, they call the procurement area repeatedly, amd hang up if they get a person they have already got a knock back from. I would avoid retone like the plague.
The products aren't any cheaper than our normal vendors, quite often far more expensive, but then they can cut the price by 30% to try and lock in the sale....why not just give the best price first, if I wanted to haggle I'd go to Turkey

What ever you do don't give them any details.
One of my admin staff gave them my name and number now they call me direct.

Just received a call from RETONE speaking as though I knew who they were, they wanted to confirm we ordered some toner pack for a Xerox printer and wanted to record my full name and company name. When I said we didn't order anything, she said to discuss with someone else then call her back on the number on the caller ID 0266395000.

Hope nothing happens!

Rings several times, every time you hear breathing for a few seconds and then the phone is hung up. No talk.

ringing back the number only led to an email address

We sent them a "friendly" email advising them we would take legal action and report them for stalking and harassment if they did not stop this.  Will see what happens.

Hey Dexter, thanks for the tip, saw these people come up on my caller id, hell can freeze over before i will answer the phone to these scum bags, so my advice would be hit the beach at Byron call center dudes the internet has you nailed price wise anyway.

They called me with some very dodgy out of date information, and made out we already had an account with them which we never had. Tried to push some vouchers at Liquorland or Westfield shopping centre on me to get me interested. When I informed him I have been doing the purchasing for the past 8 years and never heard of them he said oh you must have taken part in some survey. The sales rep was very skilled at handling objections and always had a comeback. Kept insisting on automatically sending out toner supplies which we don't need. I said if he did that we wouldn't pay the invoice.  They claim they don't have a website but instead preferred to contact us directly via phone. No credibility what-so-ever, who doesn't have a website!
