2. Sometimes silence from other end.
3. When picked up, they ask (in indistinct terms) for someone who doesn't live here

Call was about PPI claim, told him I didnt have any insurance or PPI owing and also that I was on TPS and that he should not be calling. He went on to tell me that he wasn't doing anything illegal. I asked to be put through to a supervisor or manager to which he replied that I wasn't worthy and that I had no reason to speak to his manager and that in very expletive words told me where to go and that he didn't give a damn (nice version of putting it)! So sick of getting these calls now.

At least three calls a day regarding PPI and insurance etc. Indian people called Peter apparently. Very hard to understand

There is always silence when I pick up the phone. I'm sure it's the same people called uk today that want me 2 do surveys. Always an Indian man. Got to the point I won't answer phone any more.

SCAMMERS...... Said they were from Talk Talk and that I was having problems with connection and I would have my contract terminated if I didn't  give some details. I asked the girl, oh I see, would you like my Bank details, address, date of birth and all my personal details? She laughed and said, 'yes' I need it all?!!!!l I won't repeat my reply! Scamming Bar Stewards....!  This happens at least twice a day! Usually Asian or from the Ivory Coast.  They need to be found and prosecuted.

A call from someone claiming falsely to be from talktalk. They claim falsely your computer has been compromised by malware.

Got a call this morning.  Said they were from Talktalk and my internet security had been compromised.  She said my service would be terminated.  She wanted me to sit in front of my computer and turn it on.  I told her where to go!  I've just had another call and when I answered it was a recorded message saying goodbye.

Three calls a day from these morons and no one there when we answer it just a click.    We are on TPS - seems to make no difference as they ignor it.

Same here got a call this morning indian woman saying she is from talk talk & i have malware .   I repied nope i do not  she said yes you do so i hungup on her.

Called today about 1:30pm. His co-worker called yesterday. He addressed me by name! I googled their number. Talk Talk now aware and set up blocking. I blocked yesterday's number, will do todays later. They want to install malware by giving you a ctrl+r then an instruction. Your passwords and bank details...everything about you will be downloaded and used. TELL THEM NOTHING and BLOCK them for your peace of mind!!!  Good Luck. Regards to all.

I was up at my fathers when this no came through I answered it for him lady claiming to be from talk talk technical department saying that she that we had downloaded unsavery content that they were going to shutting the internet down.

Had a call from this number claiming to be from Talk Talk Technical Department.  The male asked if he was talking to and gave my name   ..I confirmed.  He then said you are a f------ As------ and hung up.   Contacted Talk Talk who said the call did not come from them and did not apologise.   They would also not confirm they had received other complaints about abusive telephone calls.   Needless to say I will not be talking to Talk Talk again.

Received aa silent call from this number, I'm obviously not fast enough in answering for them.

I have just had these people try to talk to me. I have an answerphone that shows the callers I D. If I do not recognise the number I do not answer the phone, and if they are a "Scammer" they will not leave a message. A tip for everyone to stop these people calling is;- GET YOURSELF AN ANSWERPHONE!

Had a call from this number at 8.45 am saying I had a virus on my computer and I needed to turn my computer on and let her fix it. This lady said she was BT

Said bad messages from my computer and needed me in front of computer ect.  Did not want to discuss phone scams! Gave me number to phone back and speak to him.  I think lunch would be a better use of time.

Call from this number claimed to be from B.T. regarding "virus on my computer",  Obvious fraud as we are not with B.T.

Indian woman said from BT Technical dept,  Said there was virus on my computer- she can remove it with a License Security no  LCS ID NO: 888BCA60-FCOA-11CS-8FS88, do not entertain . Their telephone no: 0266666000. Why aren't phone companies like BT SKY TALK TALK, VIRGIN. etc  stopping these numbers from getting thru? (because it makes money for them too!!

Also because not enough customers complain to them.     Might be because there are so many callers of that kind.   Enough to keep this forum busy.

The number in this thread is not genuine in any case.     0266666000 is part of a batch that has not been issued for use.   So which Company should get the complaint?         Your own?     Have you reported?

Had a call from these today regarding my BT phone line flagging up an error on his system and to get in front of my computer with my debit card!
I told him him (an Indian sounding bloke) that I'm not with BT so I don't know why he's ringing me!
The reply I got was, "oh... my mistake ma'am"
