Had 5 calls from this number - originates from St Brits, South Africa - I know that much - don't call it back - will be a scam

Have been getting some missed calls on my mobile from the above number. I decided to ring the number so that I could ask them to stop and I get a disconnected tone.

If they ring again I'll pretend I can't speak english and then hopefully they won't ring again.

Not happy!!!

i have also had calls from 027112001100 only 1 or 2 a week but they never leave a message but today i had a voice message and it was a girls voice just saying helloooooo in a weird way and other girls in the back ground talking and giggling so i dont think this is a company doing this also i pressd 8 after the message and it was from that number

I have been constantly telephoned by the number 027112001100.... I do not answer numbers that I do not know but now they have started calling me at least twice a day! How did they get my number? why keep calling when I am NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING THEY HAVE TO OFFER!!!!!!!!!!

Just had this call myself. No one on the other end so I just hung up. It's quite ironic: Talk Talk making the calls but no 'talk' from them!

Yes I got 1 yesterday and 1 today just keep rejecting them...

Started getting calls from this number, about once a day, answered it the first time, and they claimed they were doing research into leisure activities of the british public, soon hung up on them, but still get calls. Will be onto O2 in the morning to try and block this number.

had one today for the old owner of the phone number i was given by t mobile, god bless tmobile for recycling numbers and not having a method to clean them up :(

I have now received over  50 calls from this number i have an elderly
mother who gets stressed out when no one answers. I would like to know
who it is so i can have a lawyer sew them for harassment. They seem
to have my house and mobile number.I will be informing BT and talk talk
and if they persist the police.

They hang up, everytime I answer. WTF!!!

getting 3-4 missed calls from this number every week day for the last two weeks starting to annoy me

This number must be registered to carphonewarehouse because I am a customer of theirs and from the other posts on here, every company that has been mentioned (AOL Broadband, Talk Talk etc) is owned by them.  I have never answered it because I didnt like the fact that there was 12 digits in the phone number.

Someone said that the number is registered to south africa. not surprising since as there are thousands of british based companies that have call centres out there.

As for it asking for you to hold while someone becomes available when they have rung you, this will be because your numbers are in a predictive dialler. This basically means a computer is constantly ringing a massive list of telephone numbers and when someone answers, it puts it through to an available agent. But if you answer and no-one is available at that time then you will be asked to hold until an agent becomes available to try and sell you something!

As annoying as it is, as far as i know the only ofcom rules with regards to outbound diallers is that they have to leave a telephone number so that people do not receive annonymous calls.  If you do answer it, simply ask for them to remove your details from their campaign list and they should do it for you.

Im having 2 or 3 calls a day from this pr*ck answered a miniute ago and no one spoke called it back from work and the line went blank so someone stop this annoying c*@T

Dont know who the hell, i told them to call back in 15min they call back in 5... and three times while they at it! Still dont know who it is though

Have any of you or your friends or family served in a military capacity in the middle east or afghanistan?
I did, and although never made a call from my mobile I did recieve txts. Since then I've had this and other no's call.
Just dont answer, they can source your details and txts if you do.
