guy calling frm microsystemtech name steve jordan saying i hav got harmful files in my computer nd it will crash down if i will nt registar nd nt give the money.he also said he is the manager of the company ...the took awy $116 frm me..through western union...nd i had to deposit money nd transfrd to india...
This is really a fraud company..this company is situated in park street(kolkatta) india..
Pls pls dont take call frm this company saying tat they r the authorised service center of windows..there are mre people frm this company..named glen,suzi,alan,ross, who had called my relative nd charged $458...

Got a call from a guy with strong indian accent who told me there is harmful software on my computer and he will "help" me to fix it. I asked him where hes calling from and his full name and he said hes calling from Microtech or microsystemtech or something similar and his name was Jason Smith. I was like "yeah right..." and when I asked him what software is that he said I downloaded something from internet. I kept asking him how does he know my details he said I filled in a form when I purchased my computer. I told him I didnt and he kept saying I don't remember but i did. He was getting more impatient and as I told him that I am a programmer and know my computer and not to call me ever again he started "I WILL CALL YOU ANYTIME I LIKE YOU [***] ..." I disconnected then, no point to talk to these [***]

"Steve Jordan" attempts to fix your computer, but asks for $160. Definite scam.

They called me today...the guys sounds pretty aggro when I told him I didn't believe his story and that I'm not going to log my computer into some website that I've never heard off...They Indian bloke gave me a number (02) 8006-0187 to call them back on and hang up.

same story but I got a call from Nelson. They call over your land line and if you hang up they call back time and time again.
He wanted me to log onto www.ammyy.com to help me fix my problem after taking me for a journy through my computor event log.

Just had a call same as above what other people saying.
They never got any money off me as I hung up but the did accsess my computer do I'm pretty
Concerned now they have access I have disconnected from my Internet not sure
If they will continue to have access.

Just had a call from the same company, as I'm an ICT Operations Manager, the alarm bells rang straight away..... however they had my personal details.. name, st address etc.. They said they were from the "Windows Service Center".

So I ran with it a bit out of curiosity, they got me to open "Event Viewer" and asked how many ERROR alerts I had (which were a few, but I know what these errors are), however they kept telling me these were from Internet Viruses. Then they got me to open "Windows\Inf" directory in Windows Explorer, and said they were all downloaded viruses.... Now I know they're [***] me, cause I know exactly what file types are stored there and why.

So I escalated the call to one of their managers, who still insisted there were problems..  I must admit they are persistent [***].. Then they wanted me to go to www.logmein123.com and enter a 6 digit number, this is the point my ISP just happen to cut me off ;-)   so I told them I lost Internet access while I secretly searched for details about them on the Internet.   I laughed when they told me their technician could also fix my Internet connection from my Modem to my ISP... LOL.

Eventually I told them we had other things to do and demanded a recall number (which they wouldn't give to start with). The number was 0280060187, which after a quick search told me they were were listed as "MICROSYSTEMTECH" and also as "REMOTE TECH SOLUTIONS" working from Bengal in India.

This is definitely a scam, they ring and use scare tactics so you think you have PC problems and viruses, then they make you pay a service so they can fix it, but really there is nothing to fix.....

As stated, they are persistent [***] (they'll call you back, so just hang up or tell them to *^#$^% off).

I got a call from a Steve Jordan also claiming our computer had viruses and wanted me to pay between $116 and $458, I also spoke to a lady first, then a guy called Alan and then the so called supervisor called Steve Jordan.  They claim they are a reputable company working for Microsoft, I didn't pay anything but I did let them access our computer remotely. Beware of this scam, they were very covincing

1:23PM 30/9/2011 I received a phone call from India from a girl called Katherine saying she was from microsystemtech.com and I needed to fix some harmful files on my computer. She was very insistent and persuasive, I hung up the phone on her once, but she called back very quickly.

I have fallen for it too.Costed $116 and when I tried to call them the phone number did not work.Second time there was the good old answering machine.I just hung up.
I just wonder why authorities do not do anything?

Yeah, these guys just called me. The first bloke I spoke to was called Leon Russell. He said that upon buying the computer, our IP address was logged into some massive system and managed from there.

He was very concerned about making me understand this was not a telemarketing call, but after seeing so many hacking things on TV, I was still extremely cautious. I know my way around a computer fairly well but let this guy lead me around through the 'run' command.

After showing me all these 'errors', he said I needed to let an opperator on his end work my computer. Seeming I have an external harddrive with all my information on there, I unplugged it and let him take it over.

While he was doing this, he kept tell me that if I didn't let him check it out, the virus will spread and crash my computer. He also said that now that my computer was attached to his motherboard, I will loose all desktop items unless I buy his product. I noticed him right click and hide all items and then begin to claim that I couldn't get them back until I registered.

I eventually got fed up with it and said no, I can't buy this as I don't have enough. He then asked me how much I had in my bank account. I declined him an answer to which he began to get very agitated. He kept trying to find out how much I had in my account, why I wouldn't tell him, and even to the point of telling me that even if I only had $20, I could set up a payment plan. At this point I got fed up. I also saw this page with you people discussing the scam. At that, I said, 'Right, thanks mate.' and hung up. I tried to turn my computer off but he kept trying to cancel shut-down. From there, I just turned it off at the powerpoint.

Upon turning the computer back on, I have had no further problems and the hidden desktop items were returned easily.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't like it. Anyone that pushy to try and get even $116 is bad news. Some of you may have had a good expirence with them, but I would MUCH prefer to pay a few extra dollars and actually have someone come to my house and fix everything in front of me. Not to mention the hollow story behind it all and the incomplete answers.

Watch out for them.

Received a call. Caller very persuasive. Said that Windows provided information that my computer was about to crash as it was seriously infected. Handed me over to a "technician" who appeared to have a lot of my personal computer information. He actually showed me where problems were! I was incredibly spooked and worried. Didn't really become suspicious until he admitted that the fix up would cost money and that I needed to purchase a service from MICHROSYSTEMTECH. Aggressive sales pitch and shady information almost cost me money. Don't entertain this company. If you have computer problems seek a legitimate technician of your choice.

You and your friends are trying to convince people, in very poor English, that this is not a scam. You are failing because everyone knows that it is.

yes. he is really a scam they were charging $458 for lifetime but when i said that i dont have money..
they said i will get the same service for $116..totally scam..really [***] guys...

This is the company name microsystemtech saying that they are the authorised windows technical department..which is really [***] ..i had called windows they said its a scam..dont recieve calls frm 02-800-60187....as this guys really hav indian accent.

dont ever call them they are scammers..
i have reported to the FBI.they are tracing them..

actually www.ammyy.com is the website.and there is software which they say u to run or save through which they hack into ur computer...and at the end they will say to pay money..
