this number 0280112000 rings and does not leave a message... then if I answer it instead of leaving it to go to message bank, THEY HANG UP!
I have rung the number back but the telstra womans automated voice says "Sorry, there's no answer for the number you are calling, please try again later"

I have gotten the same calls from the same number. I recieved 7 of these calls already today and it's only 4pm. they never leave a message and when I try to return the call it just ends up saying "call failed" after a few seconds of waiting for it to ring. I have no idea what's going on so it'd be great to find someone who does. Thanks.

I too have been receiving these only today, lost count of how many but the same experience as everyone else.  I think it funny that I only started receiving these calls after ringing a company I saw in an advert on pay tv. It was for a product called 'Nude by nature' and their number was 1300790976. When I rang they straight away took my name and number and said someone would ring me back. I wonder if it is them or if anyone else has done similiar?

Well I just want to let you all know that for me the mystery of this number has been solved.  This number rang me again this morning and low and behold when I answered someone was actually on the other end.  It was that company I mentioned above, so maybe other people have also rang a similiar company to me.  I still don't know what happened but can only assume they were having probs with their phone system. Yes we too have had this number call us 10 billion times.. and YES we did also call one of those infomercials and left our info for them to call back...so i would assume it is this Nude by nature too.  HOW ANNOYING.

Hi...not sure if this will help but I am in Melbourne and I have also had missed calls from 02 80112000but unable to call from mobile or home phone. the number only ever comes through on the mobile and they never leave a message. I actually believe it has something to do with an unpaid bill....the reason I think this,  is that it has happened to me before with another number which when i finally did answer one of their calls turned out to be a company chasng an overdue bill payment for ....gas I think but it was a long time ago and the bill was overlooked when we moved. Either way best you can do is speak to telstra but for privacy reasons some times you will not be told the source of the call. Good luck.  sue

yes, yesterday I called 'Rapid detox' info line and they took my mobile number to call me back.

I just had a call from this number 0280112000 a few minutes ago, when i answered they hung up one??

i got 5 calls from this number today... i just anwered and nothing stupid idiots

I called nude by nature and they have 2 other things on their books iv called about yesssss it them...

so we can relax if you have called a 1800 or 1300 number something on TV its them
but the stupid things is they dont say anything if you answer WHAT THE!!!!

register at www.donotcall.gov.au and no more tele-marketers will call you on your mobil or at home it takes 2 weeks its works

Ive had 15+ calls from this number today and I am FURIOUS. I am ready to report to the media about this.
you ring up Nude by Nature and theres someone there OF COURSE to take your credit card details initially, but when you want to cancel and not get charged...noone's there to answer and they have to take a message.  funny that. they dont call u back, they just annoy the crap out of you with a nothing number that hangs up whenever you pick up.  I rang the Nude By Nature people DEMANDING that the calls stop and that I speak to an actual PERSON about my account (I have since been charged $160 for make up I do not want) and you know what they told me? to register the number under Do Not Call register! are they for real? why are they calling me like this in the first place? Only when I threatened to go to the media (which I will do cos Im so peeved off) did I get to speak to a supervisor.  Not surprisingly she just works for the call centre NOT the company,  If they dont call me tomorrow as I have asked I am DEFINITELY going to expose their annoying phone scam.  what is the POINT of making all those hoax/annoying phone calls? I have a toddler who was woken up by their stupid calls.  Totally unnecessary and has scam written all over it,  Nice one for Today Tonight I reckon....

PS their mineral make up isnt all that crash hot,  their bronzer is disgusting. CERTAINLY NOT worth $160

I DID TOO Call the "rapid detox" line about a month ago
gave them my CC details and the woman said about 20 ill have it.
ALMOST 2 MONTHS NOW and nothing and now im scared cause they have my details AND I KEEP GETTING calls all times or the day from 0280112000 as well
SOO ANNOYING.
and when you call them they just take your details cause they are in "high demand" of calls

apparently once you call to make an order they keep calling you and hanging up
and I finally got through to someone to make them stop those annoying calls
ANYWAYS the woman gave me a customer service number if you have any queries or COMPLAINTS

After receiiving about 50 calls from this number, sometimes 5 or 6 a day, I answered the call (usually all i get is a second or so of silence, then "beep") and got a human!

The call was from marketers for Guthy Renker, the mob who sell makeup and health products.

I gave the caller a serve, told them "Don't ring this number again!"

About to ring the company on 1800 500 903 to give them a serve as well!!!

Actually I might write a script that calls them every 5 seconds (I get free calls via Skype)and hangs up when they answer!

I rang the "Rapid Detox" number, I was told the same thing they are in such high demand and would return my call as I would be #3 on call back list. I also tried their internet address, nothing listed SURPRISE SUPRISE!!!! I keep getting calls from 02 80112000, at first it went to my voice mail, but no message was left from the caller, I rang the number, which was constantly engaged. I totally agree, this is a SCAM, and their should be a "Governing Body" to regulate and investigate these people..

I recommend keeping your credit card details only for theatre and sporting tickets

for Rapid Detox products, just buy products like that at the chemist
