I just got a call, he said he was calling fm 02 80147207. He said his company was Atturo & that he had links to the IRS & that my computer potentially had a virus. He wanted me to turn my computer on & he would instruct me what to do. His name was Brett but he sounded Indian. I told him l would check out his story with the Police & get back to him. He hung up!

I have caller ID & the number showed as - 20 5280 0212

Had a lady call to say my computer was being hacked, and my bank funds were being used illegally. I checked my bank nothing missing. She wanted to "guide" me through how to resolve it. Funny how she thought she knew all about what was happening with my computer, but she was asking me to turn it on, when it had already been on for hours.They wanted me to go to their website as proof of who they were, but I didn't fancy giving the lady a chance to hack my computer herself, so I asked for their phone number, and looked it up, and I landed on this page.
The lady could see that it wasn't working with me...so she put some guy on the phone instead, he was a little cockier and probably thought he would get further. They both had strong Indian accents.
Wish the police would go and raid these guys.

Rose from an online business promotion web site design company in Sydney asked to speak to the business owner. Offering website design services to our company when this is what we already do so I don't know why we would need them anyway.
Aggressive. Indian accent. Lots of interference on the phone line. It was difficult to hear her clearly.

Indian guy with an English name ringing to say I had a problem with my computer.  I asked for his name and phone number and gave him a yarn about my husband having the password to computer and to ring back.  I then investigated the number 0280147207 on google which confirmed it was a con.  He rang back and I said I knew he was a scammer and a liar and a thief and he will be answerable to God and all liars and thieves go to a nasty place!  He hung up.  

I've had a number of calls recently from the "Microsoft Windows Computer Care Department" or similar.  They know my name and my address.  Each caller has had an Indian accent.  I let them prattle on for a while after they tell me that I have a problem with my Windows computer and that it is sending out error messages, before telling them that my computer is an Apple iMac.  They usually hang up at that stage.

This last time they gave me this number to call him back - 280147207 - I asked him for the Area Code and he gave me 61 the Australian international dialling code.  Then I said is your number 02 8014 7207, to which he replied "yes".  I said you are in Australia then? He replied that they were in Epping Road. "Which suburb?" - "North Ryde".

On ringing back the person who answered - also with an Indian accent - just picked up the phone and said "hello" - not very business-like.  After prattling on about the error messages my Microsoft Windows computer was sending out I advised this (different person) that my computer was an iMac and started to read out one of the above messages about them to him, upon which he hung up.

My caller claimed he was from Telstra, and that Telstra had become aware that my computer was being hacked.  Had a subcontinent accent.

He gave his address as "1 Epping Rd North Ryde"  (this is in fact Microsoft's street address in Sydney) and phone number as "0280147207".  

I said if he knew I was being hacked, he must be able to tell me my current IP address - he gave "179.322.2.701" (which was nothing like it).  

Initially he wanted to access my system, but when it was clear I wasn't going to be fooled he changed tack and said he only wanted me to contact my ISP to let them know I was being hacked.

I asked what 'Telstra' had to do with this as I have no business relationship with Telstra for internet services. He said Telstra was the provider of internet services to my ISP.  I asked why 'Telstra' was not contacting my ISP directly in that case. He hung up at that point.

Said his name was Alex Morgan from Windows customer care
His supervisor gave me another no.  0280188898 as well
They rang several times until info started appearing on news items about these people.
They also asked me to turn on the computer when it was alread on !!
I will ring my service provider if I have problems.

I received a call this afternoon from Google maintenance department. I was informed that my computer had a serious virus. When I questioned the caller he said his name was Robin Cook phone number 61 280147207 He was from North Ryde office. I said my computer had malware and I did not need it checked. I hung up. The caller rang me aback again and said it was his duty to tell me that my computer was being hacked. He needed me to turn on my computer so he could check it. I told him I would ring him back on the number he provided. The caller became agitated. I then rang Google in Sydney who informed me that they do not have an office in North Ryde and they would definitely not ring to ask for me to turn on my computer.

If these guys want to dupe us they had better do better than that....

I had a call from a guy that called himself Max Williams with a very strong Asian accent. He insisted he was legitimately there to tell me that my computer was being hacked. If I didn't believe him I should call him back on 02 80147207. He was in Sydney at 1 Epping Road, so he said. I hung up on him and he called back twice more, even though my partner was clear on the second call that he was wasting his time.

Got call from the guy called Methew, Sometimes he call in name of Max, with the help of the girl name Aisha, Strong Indian Accent, they will offer you to to make your business website and will sent you fake email regarding the business proposals, and will try to explain you how your website will work, they will call you with private no. and with 0280147207. they will offer you to make your website for $750, will ask you $400 advance. Please don't give them any card details I paid $300 n learned this lesson.. abuse them n beat their ass off
