Scammers - stopping calling my house.

OR "Financial adviser center & customer call" or whatever you call yourselves, why don't you actually speak when people pickup.

From Sydney I presume.

The girl on the answering machine obviously is working there cos she can't speak clearly. I think they are called "Financial adviser center & customer call". they don't  actually speak when I pickup.  

I'm pretty sure it's the same company as the other number I put up.

They try to associate themselves with insurance companies and financial companies and are scammers/criminals. Unfortunately for them I have contacts in the federal police investigation unit and are tracking their phone number in order to investigate their business practices and eventually prosecute them myself. I dont mind spending the time doing this, unluckily for them I am a barrister by trade. Hang up immediately.

Yeah,I just got a call from these scammers on my mobile.
I didnt answer because i didnt recognise the Sydney no.
I rang it back on our silent no. and got the "Financial Advice Centre" crap.
Anyone got any idea who and what they are besides dodgy?

I called the Telstra 'unwanted calls' section (my phone account is with them). The opperator recognised the number (meaning previous complaints). She had a number to the company which she called and asked them to remove my number off their automatic dialling etc list. They did so and I have since not recived any calls from them. Hope this helps in the short-term.

i just received a call from this number, when i pick it up, there is the indian guy saying something that i completely don't understand, so i hang up. After that i called them back and there is a woman pick it up, then i asked her what's the problem, she said don't worry they will contact me back in 3-5 days and hang up. Since now i still don't understand what do they want from me. Anyone have any ideas regarding from this number 0280230464?

hi am get5ing the same [***] and getting really annoyed. is there anyway to stop the calling me? im desperate coz it is costing me $1 each time the call and its not alwayz the same number

similar or exact calls that everyone else is getting, it is so irritating. Thank god for caller ID. Today they called every hour for 4 hours, this is insane, who are these people?

I have received two calls from these people in the last two days. They do not answer you when you pick up the phone and when you call back they are some Finacail company or something.. It's pissing me off!!

I receive calls from this number and similar area code numbers each day now (for the last two days), and like other people have experience they hang up immediately. Some kind of auto-dialer or something I assume?

This is getting rediculous. My missus is studying here at home full time and now just ignores the phone because of the hangups.

Surely our pro-active Auwstralian government can do something about this? *snigger*

I have listed our number on the Do Not Call register. Yeah THAT seems to be working!

I will be calling my Telco when they get outr of bed Monday!
I think I am now even getting them on my business phone.

It has now reached the stage because of all the unknown telephone callees that we have to keep the landline "off the hook" in other words "engaged" so that all calls go straight through to Message Bank. I am in poor health and the a phone ringing continually has to be answered. Some days and nights there have been up to eleven [11] calls registered through Message Bank.

at least three times a day around 12.00, 3.00 and 6.30pm.  It's been going on for months now.  I have stopped answering them as you pick up and there is nobody there.  How can we stop it!?

Me and my boyfriend have been getting these calls as well - from 5 different numbers, to both of our mobile phones. When you ring them back a womans voice says they are a Financial Services company or something. I left a message for them to stop ringing - gave my name and the mobile number... I hope this wasn't the wrong thing to do!!! Will ring Vodafone tomorrow and try to have the numbers blocked.
