Yep and it's pissing me off! Now they just hang up when I answer because I told them we were on the do not call register. how can you find out the company name?

This person calls repeatedly but never answers.

Ive been getting calls from this number for a couple of weeks, finally answered a call today, they asked me by my surname and as soon as I verified that it was me, they hang up immediately. DODGY!

I have been getting calls and I believe this could be the scam people that were dialling internet through your phone number and then charging you. This scam started in 1999.

This number has called repeatedly although I am on DNC register.
Don't bother answering - they do not speak.
Try ringing the number and you receive a short recorded message and a hasty hangup at the end. "You have been contacted by Hosted Contact Centre Service...."

Website/s appears to be (though can't be sure, as no mention of the full name they use (H.C.C.S., per above) http://www.hostedcc.com.au and http://www.hostedcontact.com.au
Click on the 'partner' tab and the name Veridian Solutions appears.
Seems to be some link between the two company names.

Does anyone know what this company wants or who they are representing?

They keep ringing my phone which is an emergency management phone in a hospital blocking emergency medical calls please please stop

They also keep ringing our phone which is an emergency doctors surgery. We have requested blocking a number of times. Calls like these block emergency calls from patients. Please stop this callous calling.

Just to let you know that I have since lodged a complaint about this number with the Australian body "Do Not Call Register".  They have looked into this for me and have found this number belongs to a call centre group called "Unity 4" (http://www.unity4.com).

Apparently the computer calls numbers randomly and sometimes the operator is not available at the time of call – and this is why should you answer, you are hung up on.

I suggest signing up with DNCR (takes 30 days to take affect) as they are able to try and stop most companies calling your number.

I would still be interested to know what it is they are exactly trying to sell… but at least we can relax in knowing its only a call centre, and not a scam.

everyday I'm receiving a call from this number, I don't know why they are calling from this number.

Received first call on 7.Jun.2011 @ 15.29 and second call on on 8.Jun.2011 @ 17.35 to my mobile number in sydney.  I didn't answer either call.

They just called our house and the lady asked to speak to my mother. I said she's not home and then she said she will try again another time. PLEASE DON'T! Unless you're nsw lotteries telling her she's won 10 million :)

The caller is the deaf and Blind childrens association.
They are selling raffle tickets to raise money for the childrens needs.

The caller is claiming to be from the 'Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children' as per their recorded message when the number is dialed. Website: http://www.ridbc.org.au/

The calls from this number are most likely legitimate otherwise the police would have closed their operation.

It is most likely that a telemarketing company is fundraising on behalf of the RIBDC but volunteers may also be calling on their behalf.
