This is a kids charity line for their fundraisers.

This is for the Kids Charity hotline - They cold call households to participate in their raffles.

Had a call from Make a wish foundation tonight from this number. The man was very rude to me as I was not the person he was after and would not tell me where he was calling from.

The number belongs to a legitimate company that helps australian charities. Contradiction really given how they treat some of the people that work for them.

I get multiple phone calls PER DAY from this number. No message, ever. I am over it. So *#$%&^&*%^ing over it. I am on the DNC register and am so fed up that if I am ever home and this number calls they will cop a police whistle down their ear.

I was getting anonymous OVERSEAS ones too and finally went to ACMA about it and they mysteriously stopped, but these ones picked up.

It's so bad - they even rang me at 1030pm once, which is against the law even for a charity.

What rubbish. They are a parasitic company that makes a commission on donations to charities.
They represent multiple charities including RSPCA. Their unstoppable phone calls have guaranteed that I will never contribute to any of the charities from whom they extract a commission.

I used to work for the company mentioned here, and yes, they are a legitimate company which is contracted by the various charities to raise funds. I do happen to know who the company is, and I will contact them if I need to.

The key is to ask the operator to remove from your details the call list, and if necessary, insist on speaking to a supervisor or team leader. They are then, by law, required to follow through with your request.

If your instructions are not followed, you can have the matter raised either through legal proceedings or by simply lodging a formal complaint through the relevant charity, who will then deal with the matter. Matters raised via the charities' head offices DO get dealt with, as it is their reputation on the line.



ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT CHARITY CALLS (& SOME COMMERCIAL CALLING) IS PERMISSABLE, BY LAW UP UNTIL 8PM IN AUSTRALIA. CHARITIES ARE ALSO EXEMPT FROM THE DNC REGISTER.
