Received call from Indian "lady?" She calls regularly but I usually hang up on hearing her voice, this time I heard her out, wanted to give me money & phone number to ring (0280913202) I did not ring  but 5 Minutes later she rang back & asked why I had not called, I told I could not ring because the Police were tracing the call. She immediately hung up.

This call came from a female of Indian origin. Said that the government was going to sent me some money for alleged over charges through the last year. Then gave me a registration code the names of her alleged supervisors. I had to call that number and confirm that I was the correct person to receive the money.
if the government was to send me a refund , IT WOULD COME WITH MY PENSION MONIES THROUGH THE NORMAL CHANNELS.

A lady with what sounded like an Indian accent had been calling for a while saying the government owes us money, accompanied with a code and number to call if I chose to continue. I continued and it seemed to be that had I not followed a certain script she would hang up and block my number! My daughter, husband and I continued to call her and my daughter had the most luck. My daughter had acted like a delusional ditzy girl and followed a script saying she wants her "free money" and sounded rather excited. The lady on the other end then asked for the reference code and home phone number, but my daughter began her rant on why she shouldn't call again but the lady on the other end hung up before she could say another word.

They are claiming that they are from the government and say I'm receiving money from them but must first pay over $700 before i recieve the cheque i told them to no.

Just had the same Indian lady on the line telling me I was  owed money from the Federal Government.  I usually hang up but heard her out. What concerned me was the information she actually told me. She knew my address and husbands DOB.
I did not call her back on the number provided.

We have been advised by some of out Aged Care clients that they are receiving calls from this number requesting their bank information.

I received a call saying I was getting a refund from the Australian tax office re the bank overdrawing fees etc, given a number to call and told to ask for miss rose brown or miss alice Wilson, given a I.D. Number, well I did told them a cheque will do, well here I am scammed they reckon a refund of 6,325 , I wish to god I knew of this site before I screwed up, stupid idiot!!

A lady rang my elderly mother and told her to get my dad to ring her back and gave her a access number. He tried to ring but no answer. I the daughter typed the number inter the internet and it appears it is a scammer.

I received a call from an Indian gentleman(Mark Murray) from the finance department saying I would be getting a refund of $6325 either by cheque or deposited into my bank. I said bank he asked for my account details, I say cheque and he gave me a reference number and told me to call his manager Miss Alice Wilson on 0280913202 in 10 mins. I wanted to find out if it was a SCAM. I phoned the number and spoke to Alice Wilson and she said she would phone me back in 10mins. 5mins later I get a call from the original gentleman saying why haven't I phoned his manager and I told him I did and she would call me back when she had my file. I told him this is a SCAM, he then hung up on me.

So these same people contacted my parents yesterday and told them they were eligible for money back from the bank. As ususal, told them to call the "supervisor" and when Mum didnt, they called back 5 minutes later asking why she had not called.
Everything else above is the same too.

Only now... I have their number and have been calling them back. I will try and do this daily.

I don't understand how this number is still in operation since this has been ongoing for so long.
