Report a phone call from 02-8094-3813 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Julia| 1 replyHad a call from a woman claiming to be from the Red Cross. Said my regular debit had bounced (I do have a regular amount going to the Red Cross). Asked if I had a new card, which I do. I stupidly gave my new card details, then when I checked my banking I found that the monthly amount had in fact gone thru. Now I think she was dodgy.
- Caller: Red Cross
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- mark replies to Juliafunny you say this, I received a call a few days ago about the exact same thing.... my automatic debit had ceased and would I like to get it going again.
I refused to give my card details, I asked her to send paperwork in the mail, she said she couldn't do it.
Tonight I received another call from this number, but they hung up when I answered it, so I googled the number and I see this thread here.
The lesson would be to never give credit card details to somebody who has phoned you. - MarkIs this phone number legitimate RE: The charity Red Cross?
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Tom| 2 repliesI think they are legit as I was thinking the other day why no one has called from red cross to update
My details. I lost my card and got a new one sent. I have also had a couple of calls from this number.- Caller: Red cross

- Kym01 replies to Tom| 1 replyI've been getting a call on my mobile every afternoon/evening for the past two weeks until recently. The first time they hang up as I was answering. So after that I didn't bother answering. Now it makes sense.
A. I have an automatic monthly Visa debit with Red Cross.
B. My old Visa card expires in 3 days, and I have been sent a replacement. - Kym01 replies to Kym01I updated my card expiry details on the Red Cross website two days ago.
Yesterday I got another call from the number, so I answered. The caller identified himself as from Red Cross and said that my last debit had not gone through. I said 'That's funny, my card doesn't expire until the end of this month (3 days hence).' I told him I'd just recently updated my card details, so that ended the conversation.
Later I get home and check my bank account details online and find that I *was* debited with my normal monthly amount only 5 days earlier.
Go figure. Possibly a scripting error in what the Red Cross callers are told to say.
My advice: Update your details online. - John.Just got a call asking me to update details. Seemed legit. They said my credit card would be expiring soon (it is) and asked if I had my new card for updating yet. They knew how much I was donating and my other details. They also knew that my payment for this month had already gone through. In any case I gave them details for a different card (didn't ask for 3 digit security number). I realised afterwards that I may have been scammed so I called Red Cross and asked them to confirm to me that my details had been updated. Waiting to hear back (has only been a few minutes as of writing).
N.B. They signed me up to donate on the street, and I think I had to give the security number then. A bit dodgy, really. Also, I'm very trusting apparently.- Caller: Red Cross

- Stephabout every second day i get a call from this number or other red cross numbers asking me to update my card details. I have repeatly asked for my monthly donation to be cancelled due to my finacial situation changing, replied to there text messages & emails that I will not be updating my details, as well as asked for them to stop calling me but still they persist. Now I dont answer any calls from numbers I dont know nor do I keep any amount equal to the original donation amount in my main account for them to 'steal'. Really annoyed that they can harrass people at this level.

- satan73| 1 replyI have had repeated calls from this number saying they are Red Cross needing updated details.. Don't answer the call as i had contacted Red Cross over 10 months ago to cancel donations i had been making for the previous 3years..

- Biff replies to satan73Same here. I had to cancel my direct debit payments and have had 17 calls in 6 weeks. I refuse to answer, but am fed up with their harrassment.
