I have had 2 calls already when i answer they hang up who is it?

Hmmmm..Looks like Im not the only one recieving calls from this number

Yeah they call me between 1 and 4 every fews days, whenever I answer they hang up. What phones do we all have? iPhone for me

I get them as well. They hang up as soon as I answer. It's from a company called Aegon Direct Marketing Services.

Just got a call from this number again, this time though I had my hand on my phone when they called and I answered it quite fast.

They said they were from an insurance type company selling what they called was (and this is how it sounded from what they said, not sure if it's the exact wording) "common sure term life protection"

From what I gathered it seemed like it was some kind of life insurance.

I had a call from this number last night around 7.30pm AEDST and the male voice on the other end said that he was calling from my bank and that he was calling to confirm my details, he seemed to have my card details to.  

I avoided the question and hung up the phone, he has called me twice since then.  My bank said that "they would look into it"...  Hmmm.

Ive had 2 calls from this number on Tuesday alone. I just hung up without knowing who it was.
Other times when they ask "is this ......." i say no and hang up too lol
I have "3" as my mobile provider, i wonder if their the idiots giving out our details......

I get this call alot.. They say they're from the bank, but I don't think they are (I'm with commonwealth). They try and sell you some kind of insurance and ask for your bank details. Definately don't trust it! I'm not sure how they got my name and number but it's annoying

I recieved a missed call on my Samsung Galaxy S from this number.

PLEASE TAKE PRECAUTION:
Change your passwords frequently! (Email, Facebook, Netbank etc)
You may have been phished over the internet, which could be really serious!

It is SO EASY for hackers to access your accounts!
Maybe they phished your email account, a friend's account or your facebook page.
You may have downloaded a fake app on your android phone. (Always check an app's 'permissions' before you install. Not all apps need to make and receive phone calls etc)
Maybe you signed up to a malicious website.

Last night, I clicked on a friend's link on my Facebook wall (something about the Japanese Tsunami).
It took me to a bogus website.
Ten minutes later, someone had phished my facebook account and re-posted the bogus link through my profile. It's THAT EASY for people to get your details.

If someone calls from your 'bank', BE SMART, don't give your details.
Explain that you will go to a branch to sort it out.

And again, RESET YOUR PASSWORDS FREQUENTLY.

Comminsure perhaps? That's Commonwealth Bank's insurance division. I got a missed call from them and am with CBA...

Someone also called me from this number. She said that is from the commonwealth bank asking details such as name and email

ive had misssed calls from this number constintly for the pass week...
i answered today to have the phone hung up on the other end of the line....

I assume we're all with Commonwealth Bank. It's CommInsure trying to sell you Life Insurance. No phishing, just a bank wanting you to add another product. Relax.

This number calls me every day at around 11:30 sEST and sometimes at 6:30 pm sEst.  I just pick up the phone and put it straight down

FYI.

Its NOT the commonwealth bank.  I can 100% guarantee this.  People, if this number rings you, do NOT give out ANY information.  Ask them to verify that they are with the Commonwealth Bank by asking them to give you the following details:

"What is your name?"
"Where are you calling from?"
"What is your staff Id number?"
"If you are calling from my bank, what is my account number?"

If they can not answer the last 2 to your satisfaction, hang up.  Or better yet, don't answer the calls!  The non private number should have been a dead give away.

Hey its Mick again. I just got another call from them a minute ago (didnt answer ofcourse).
Im convinced its our mobile phone companies giving out our details.
I know with myself (3 customer), i had to either provide an credit card or my bank account details upon signing up (for payment security) NEVER again will i be soo stupid in doing soo....

Yes than we will lead them into the interrogation room and beat them up.
The easiest way is to block them or hang up. No need to go into police tactics.

it is comm insure (or a marketing company calling on their behalf) selling life insurance. they would be calling you because you're a commonwealth bank customer. the problem i have is they had already sent me mail advertising the product (which im not interested in), they call from this number following up "if I've had a a chance to read through it", I tell them im not interested, a week later I get another call doing the same thing, that was last thursday. My phone is now ringing again from the same number, I'm just ignoring it now.
