Just got a call from these guys- picked it up.. Identified themselves as suncorp "direct call - call center" telemarketing essentially.

Suncorp - selling life insurance (following up a mail out apparently).

Just reading other blogs about similar numbers and it seems to have something to do with argon direct marketing. I just received a call from this number saying that they were from suncorp following up on life insurance mail that was sent to me. When he asked me to confirm my DOB I ended the call.

I've had no less than 20 missed calls from these guys over the last few days.. I wanted to find out who they were first.. This site worked a treat :)
I too, have just had life insurance papers mailed to me from suncorp.. Now I can answer the call and tell them where they can put those papers... How Very Annoying Of Them !!

Kept calling when I was on global roaming, so googled to check who it was. When I finally got back in country and picked up, the person was incoherent and was rude when I asked him to repeat himself. How do they expect a positive response to their marketing campaign if they are like this?

Thanks for the info - I bank with Suncorp so I'm not surprised they're calling me.  Glad I let it go to voice mail!

Got a call from the same number (great website idea by the way). Asked what the matter was regarding & "Daniel" wouldnt tell me = goodbye!

I had just had a call from the same number and apparently was calling on behalf of Suncorp about Life Insurance. Told me they had sent out paperwork to which I replied that I hadnt seen any. Basically told me "Well we sent it, so you must have got it." I let him woffle on a little and when asked for my date of birth I said i was not comfortable giving that over the phone. He then said he would transfer me to his supervisor to make sure everything was legit. I said I wouldnt like to speak to his supervisor as I believed it was some sort of scam and he advised that "they have my file open" whilst he was talking to me. I asked how this could be the case as I have NEVER been a customer of suncorp? To this reply, he said I will call back later and hung up....   Something very fish going on here...

Keep getting phone calls mid-evening to business phone. Finally googled it to see its prob a scam....

I have had heaps of missed calls from this number over the past week and several times I've answered, only to be hung up on immediately! I figured it was an automatic dialling system, but so annoying.
When I called back I got a message directing me to contact the Suncorp call centre directly. Gawd, as if.
Am on the do not call register and have just re-registered to hopefully avoid this in the future.
