Yes I this number calls me everyday at the same time... They hang up when i answer

It's Avon, they have your number if you've brought something of them.

I also Got a call - they didn't say anything and then hung up...

Me too. i recive a call now... 4.50 pm... who are they? what they want? they have my name and family name.....damn

Is this really AVON that is calling?!

Every single day at the same time the phone call comes through except for on the weekend....

Is this not illegal? I am pretty sure it's only something like 3 calls allowed per week.

Its AVON financial and insurance a group that is trying to debt collect! They use automated VOIP dialers ...no its not AVON  cosmetics!!! They are collecting debt on behalf of an unpaid debt they have purchased the rights to collect or act on behalf of a company chasing a debt unpaid. So if they are trying to call you think about who you may owe money to or something you did not pay for as its probably chasing you. Don't answer as it only on firms your mobile is active and what time you answered shows best time to call you back.

but if they were after money or collecting debts, why would they say nothing. there's never anyone there.

Has anyone tried calling them back to ask??

Because we're not wasting our credit to do it. How annoying.

We don't owe any money to AVON. Why would they be ringing us?... I'd say its just stupid telemarketters or something.

Im getting called by them too, i did owe some money to a video store, coincidence?  i think not, never going to answer it :)

I just called the number, it has a phone message that says its a marketing company.

It's something to do with the commonwealth bank.

I have no debts, so i dont think it is a debt collection agency, but i get at least 3 calls a day from this number, for a week or so at a time, then dont have any for a while and then it starts again.
I answered once and think they said they were from CommInsure or something, but i hung up, couldnt be bothered with it.
When i dont answer, they never leave a message, and if the bank wanted to speak to me that badly, you'd think they'd leave a message.
So my theory is maybe theyre just trying to sell insurance?
Either way, im sick and tired of the calls and wish they'd cut it out.

I received 2 calls from this number yesterday.. One at 2:26 pm and the other at 6:41 pm. I just called the number back and there was an automated message saying it was SUNCORP and that they were phoning me about Life Insurance (and./or similar products). Now you know!

I have also been receiving calls from 02 8094 5836, and yes when I called them back the automated message was from SUNCORP and in regard to life insurance... very annoying!

HAve been getting several of these from similar numbers, that hang up.
Has only started happening since I switched to Kogan, anyone else find the same thing?

It is from Suncorp Bank regarding Life Insurance. Saying I made a recent enquiry. Which I did not.
You then get told to call 1800 208 952 and that you can opt out which may take 30 days. dont answer, just another annoying telemarket scheme.

It is a sham debt collection company"saying" that you owe money.  I took the call and asked for a copy of the invoice.  They told me that they would send one when I paid the bill because it was going to collection that afternoon.  I am an accountant - these guys do not scare me.  So I told them that when it does get to court, they will have to justify the costs, prove that they have approached me for payment, and that they have not put a mark on my credit record.  If not, I would sue them.  They hung up immediately and when I phoned back, the line was disconnected.  Ignore them.
