Rang my mobile the silence for 5-10 seconds, then they hang up.

I am so tired of these [***].

They are AEGON Direct marketing services. Selling insurance.

Call them on 1300 305 515 and ask them to take your number off their list.

I was told that the the silence is due to their automatic dialing system...

Maybe it would be a good idea not to piss people off when direct marketing....
...just putting the idea out there people...

Have called me 3 times in the last week. Once I answered and they hung up. Never leave voicemail messages.

I got a missed call from the same number as Michelle -  I don't know who they are and won't answer it in future - it is probably a scam. My point of view is that if it's someone I know they will leave a voice massage - that's what the service is for!!

Called me again at 7.30 at night, but I missed it. Very insistent!

Just got a call from these people, didnt leave a message either.. wont call them back..

Just got another call from this number, i answered it, it was Jared from Comm Insure selling insurance, its $4.60 per week and youve got a 30 day cooling of Period, they send out some forms in 5-10 days, Your policy starts straight away but your billing cycle starts after the 30 Day cooling off period. So you're insured for 30 days without paying anything. They had my commonwealth bank address details but I had moved since then, but he couldnt change my commonwealth bank details, he told me I had to call commonwealth bank for this. The number for Customer Service to cancel your policy is 1300 131 103 and it does not cost anything to cancel your policy. I said yes to the policy but I will read what he sends out, and discuss it with family and if I have any feeling that somethings wrong i have every intention of calling and cancelling my policy.  
I do however have a bit of suspicion over the number they called from, its the same number as the AEGON one a few comments above. But it may be that telemarketers are all in one building and there different levels.. and different lines. Who knows.

Just received a call from this number and didn't answer, no voicemail left.  Will not be picking up when they call again!!

Just got a call from 02 8094 5849. They said "we have just sent you something in the mail about life insurance" and wanted to discuss options with me on the phone... They mentioned being from AEGON. The guy that was on the phone seemed very enthusiastic and excited to sell me something but when I realized it was just a marketing co I hung up. I guess no one's receiving any bonuses from trying to sign me up that's for sure!

haha, no mate they represent Comm insur but they work for AEGON. Sure if you think you need this insurance go for it, but honestly its not free, you can cancel but you will end up paying for that months insurance. My advise as an old sales rep is if you want insurance from Commonwealth, call them directly.

Good thing I didn't waste my money calling back. Thanks all for the heads up so I won't bother to pick up the call if they call again. As if I am not getting enough of these insurance nonsense from Commonwealth Bank's staff and their pretentious smiles! I thought telemarketers are not suppose to call us once our number is registered on 'Do Not Call'?

Called twice this evening. Thanks to you guys I will not be answering. Where did they get my number? Is there some sort of register you cab put your number to stop this unsolicited sakes pitch and harassment? I rang the 1300 number some one suggested. Of course no one answered, it wad after 5pm. They did not want to be bothered after hours but they disturbed me.

Got several calls this week from them. Picked up but didn't answer. They don't say anything either. After 4 seconds silence, they hung up. At least if they are calling, they would at least say hi or something.

These peeps are scammers. Been getting calls from lots of random numbers like them lately. I think they're from the same organisation.
