would like to know who is calling me

They say they are CommInsure. I think they're a scam wanting to get verbal approval to take money out of your bank account. I called up the authentic CommInsure about this. They suggested you tell these people that "You'd prefer to go to the bank for face-to-face service and ask them to place you on the Do Not Call list!" They also have another number similar but different 02-8094-4420

if you have applied for anything with commonwealth bank then it is probably a follow up call on the matter..

i had the same number contact me about an overdraft on 1 of my bank accounts..

I just got a missed call from the same number, and when I called the number back, it went to Avon company. I don't know how they got my number!

Same thing. When I answered they hung up. They call approx every 5 days.

This is CommInsure, a division of Commonwealth Bank. You probably would have received a letter in the mail regarding injury cash protection insurance, this is a follow up call.

The caller is trained to get you hooked on a 30 day 'no cost' trial and will send you some documents. After 30 days they will automatically start debiting the premiums your account.

My advice, don't answer or hang up.

I also get calls from this number, and I also get letters from CommInsure.

I have had 2 calls now and they both hang up straight away.

This Better not be CommInsure, Commbank isnt exactly in my good books atm.

If you are a Commonwealth Bank customer, then you might get calls from their CommInsure subsidiary that offers insurance products.

Missed a call (unsolicited of course) from this number, rang back and it's a group called Avon Direct Marketing Services representing insurers.

I just received a call from this number, plus a hangup from the other day. They claimed to be connected to MBF, which MBF later denied. When I called back, the message said they are Avon Direct Marketing. Avon seems unaware of them.

I am receiving calls daily from this number. I'm not answering as who is this?

I'm also a commonwealth bank customer n received a letter offering insurance a few weeks ago.

I keep getting calls from this number too...

Next time they call I might ask Virgin Mobile to block them, if thats possible.

I keep getting calls approx 3times a day commencing at 7.30am for the past 3 days, if it was that important they should leave a voice mail or get the point IM NOT INTERESTED
the first time i answered & there was dead silence.

I receive a call from this number almost every day and they hang up as soon as I answer.  I'm not a member of the Commonwealth Bank so that response doesn't help me.  Have no idea how they got my number coz it's a work mobile number.  Really annoying!!!

Several missed calls from 0280946220 on my mobile have not tried calling back as they never leave a message.

I have recieved a minimum of 3 calls a day for the past few months from this number. Same thing. No messages, and when I call back it says it is AVON, but when I have accidently answered it is nothing. A few months ago the same thing happened and I must have fallen off their call back radar. It is getting quite full on and is starting to get a bit much. The calls start at 7:30 and can sometimes come through at 5pm.
