got several calls from the number. finally answered it, was the NRMA with some offer.

Have received 2 calls from this number in the last 2 days. Both times I've answered and it's hung up straight away.

Complain to your telco carrier, with optus you usually need 3 occurances before you can register a complaint. The carrier should then send a warning to the owner of the numb.er, and it should stop

Have received a call a day from these people. Answered once only to hear two beeps and then they hung up.

This number called me and I answered and no one was on the other end.

It's too bad that 3/Vodafone don't have this as an option:-(

It is a Hosted Call Centre which means any company can hire it out. The reason that you cannot call back is because it could be a completely different company on the other end the next day. Various companies for example ING trying to get my bank details. Usually best to ignore but do not give them any details!

Had a call from this number today followed by a hang up. Bloody annoying I must say. Just wondering if a call back results in some sort of fee that they benefit from, similar to voting on reality TV shows. Anyone know?

This number just won't spot ringing me. Never leaves a message.  How can you get them to stop?

I'm copping this on my work phone. I got to speak to someone once on the other end, and it was an insurance company this time. They are related to my bank somehow so they have some right/reason to call, unfortunately. It's also the only way someone would get my work number. So I'll be off to my bank to get this stopped. Will keep you all posted.

It's a marketing company that works for various firms they list your number under the company that is dealing with you. My calls were about MLC through my bank NAB. I hate talking to computers when I ring a number, but it really ticks me off when a computer rings me and wants you to wait for someone to answer. The way to stop this practice is to hang up the moment they ring or if your phone lets you block the number.
