Some automated [***] calling scam

Keeps calling me! Anyone know who it is? Very persistent!!!

Scam asking for d.o.b

My previous post was incorrect. I had an electricity bill that I had overlooked. It was three days overdue & on Saturday I started to get calls from this number. It is totally legitimate although somewhat confronting. AGL automate this service & by confirming your (spoken) name then entering your date of birth you acknowledge that you received the message,

It obviously saves costs for AGL in posting reminders & I have to say it is quite innovative.

I had 7 missed calls from this number on a Saturday, i finally caught the 8th one after 6pm. Considering the bill had been paid earlier in the week and by Saturday it would only hvae been one day overdue anyway, it's extremely annoying.

Phone calls start about 8:00am Saturday morning ..... BUT .... NO message, NO person, No voice at the other end.
Then it just drops to a Dial tone ......... !!!!!!!
Just had the third call .........with NO ONE or NO ROBOT at the other end.

I call this "Harassment" .. and want to know what I can do to get this type of thing BANNED ... just like DO NOT CALL list.

IF it's AGL ... and IF they want to call on a Saturday then something needs to be done.
1. I only want to receive calls during BUSINESS HOURS.
2. It MUST be a working system - where I have some way to say STOP IT.

IF it's about a bill .. then AGL have internal issues coz I paid my bill LAST WEEK, and have the receipt to prove it.
How about now I send AGL a bill for my time (It's Saturday, they have phoned me and want my response - I give them my response so they can now pay my standard call out fee same as any customer who calls me on a weekend or afterhours........ ).

First, I don't have an account with AGL, that's because I did not appreciate them dropping my discount from 10% to 7% at the same time they raised their prices by 30%.  Second, my number is on the Do Not Call register, and if you call again I am filing a complaint and you can let me know how substantial the penalty is.

I think this may be a scam... only because I don't have an account with AGL!!

As you do not have the courtesy to leave a message saying who you are or what you want, I can only assume you are a telemarketing company or some kind of scam. Please desist from calling me. All future calls will be ignored.

It is AGL overdue payment reminder.
I have 2 calls on Sat.
It is a good service as I have a new gas connection and the bill was sent out electronically and I didn't receive that as it was sent to my old email address.
So all good and I am happy with this automated service.

Why would a Company like agl make an important call like that on a Saturday using a robot ?? I think it's a scam

It is AGL calling with an automated response due to overdue bills BUT I agree with others that it's not appropriate to receive these calls on Saturdays, nor so soon after the due date.

What concerned me the most was it asks for identification. I live be a very simple rule, if you called me I'm not going to give you information.  As far as I'm concerned I have no idea who is on the end of the line and I'm not about to hand over personal details if I don't know who you are, especially to some automated machine!
