i just got the exact same thing same number its a sydney number isnt it? im in WA

I've just got a call from this number now.  I didn't answer cause I don't know the number.  Its got the area code of New South Wales. I reside in Q.L.D.  What I like to know is how they got my number. If it's telemarketers trying to get business they are not going to get far with me.  I would like to know who they are.  Any ideas? Or does anyone know?

It is optus, who have bought the mailing list from Vodafone and are trying to get people on optus

I just got a call from that number too, i was terrified of answering the call. so i didn't. its frightening - how'd they get my number? i won't sleep well tonight...

I have had 5 missed calls from them today, and If it is vodafone (who I use for pre-paid) I will FLIP OUT!!! 5 missed calls in 1 day is ridiculous, so on behalf of everyone who have had missed calls recently I will tell them we dont like being harrassed, we dont like the fact that they are giving our numbers to other companies, and - Oh you have to be kidding they are calling again! answering....and guess what is a automatic machine talking so I cant even flip out at a real person. Might drop into the vodafone shop instead when Im out doing my shopping tonight.

Ha, just had a missed call from that number as well. I'm also a Vodafone prepaid customer. And I definitely don't want to move to Optus! How did they get our numbers? Surely Vodafone wouldn't sell their customers numbers to another provider so they could offer them (better) deals? Sounds kind of stupid...

Typical of vodafone. The call (to our old vodafone pre-paid and no longer available but still good deal) came from an automated system talking about rip off plans. It was probably the annoying Lara in disguise but she was cut off real quick.

2 calls in 2 days. I did not answer either.
I am voda/prepaid. Thanks for help everyone. Things like this only make me research changing companies. Truly sad behaviour. Pre paid customers are smarter than this.

I received a missed call from this number. I had a bad feeling about answering it. When I did call it back, I am immediately rejected.

I strongly believe we should have a 'reverse lookup'  service here in Australia, just like they do in America, Canada and United Kingdom.

I was finally able to place a call.

It ~IS~ Lara from vodafone. I can confirm this. It ~IS~ VODAFONE!
