Yes, it's from Citibank and I got a call from them about my credit card issue

It's bonafide. Citibank had a potential breach of credit card access and are cancelling cards, re-issuing new ones. I rang them and the caller was genuine.

Phising scam to get personal info.
Using citibank credit card fraud as a ploy to get info

    Very non-aussie for a supposed 02 number...

    reeks of scam

Agree it's most likely a scam call.

Way too indian/asian poor english to be legit for an aussie call .....

prolly spoofed the caller id too to try and look real.

Not enough detail given when the caller is queried hard.

Just received a call from this number asking me if I could spend 10-15 minutes on my time.  When asked what it was about, I was told that they could not divulge this information.  When I questioned them further, they quickly terminated the call.  Very dodgy ....

Had several calls from this number recently from a very professional sounding person.  Leaving messages about a bank account with a bank I do not use.  When I called the bank in question they said they do not have a profile on me and would only call if they did have one.  Was advised to ask caller for a user id that the bank issues when he next called.  When he rang I asked him for this info but he would not give it 'until he verified who I was'.  I told him that I had been in contact with the bank and they said that it was fine for him to give his ID upon request - he still refused so I refused to give him any information.  He wanted to end the call pretty quickly then, but said I could call customer service and anyone there could help me.  The number he supplied does not match customer service for this bank. He was still very professional until the end, but did seem a little reactive at the end of the conversation.
Mmmm smells like a scam - beware!

A man with a strong American accent left a message explaining that I have urgent security issues with my bank account with Suncorp (who I am actually with). If I did actually have serious security issues with my bank account I assume Suncorp would just fix it for me instead of just phoning me to let me know my account is at risk. He said he would call back so I am very interested to hear what information he is going to ask for.

Legit call.  I ignored the number on my mobile, but then got a call immediately on my home phone.  The call was about possible fraud on my credit card, for transactions I'd attempted to make no more than 15 minutes previously, with a US company.  The caller identified as being from Suncorp, who my card is with, but they do use Citibank for their cards.  The information the caller asked for to verify my information was also very broad - postcode and month of birth only, so nothing that could personally identify me.

Nothing dodgy about this call, their reason for calling tied in with my activities at the time and use of my card.

Received call to mobile this evening, asian accent from Citibank Security (supposedly) regarding security breach on Visa card which we dont have with them. Asked me for post code number repeatedly then call failed . Rang this number back and phone was diverted to international dial tone and Asian woman answered phone, I then hung up . This is a Scam to get details from card holders.

Legit (at this time anyway) - it's Citibank alright having a customer service fail. Their card security phoned to confirm the legitimacy of some transactions from 1300 550 216, and unless someone's completely compromised my account there's no way they could know the line items I've purchased (note they were offshore). I've received phone calls previously from Citi on other offshore purchases (flights and such). Their messaging and security procedures make it should dodgy and I've reported so and this left me suspicious and wanting to cancel the card.

wasnt a scam - was Virgin Money (Citibank) I hadnt paid an annual fee but they hadnt sent me a statement either. they cancelled the card and reversed the fees, which suited me fine.
the guy was Indian background but thoroughly professional and asked only one privacy question - my home address. was happy to oblige and the call was worthwhile replying...

Legit. Diners Club (Citi) confirming an international credit card transaction I'd made with an european airline.  Only asked to confirm parts of my details: month of birth, and postcode of mailing address.

Legitimate: Recd call from Citigroup Card Services re: potentially fraudulent use of my credit card as website registration ID. stated last four number of the card and the CCV number, requested my postcode and year of birth as ID then told me what my street address was from records held. Transaction was apparently routed through a merchant in Bermuda. Last time I used the card was that afternoon at a 7/11, prior to that, the day before at BWS. Last internet transaction outside of Suncorp Internet banking was over 10 days previous via Paypal
