yeh whoever it is has been calling not leaving a message etc annoyed...why i pay for a private unlisted number i don't know???

I dialled this number from my work phone..it is Coles Liquor .. the phone number does not accept incoming calls - however provides another general number for Coles.

This number caused me a lot of problems when i was travelling overseas. They certainly should leave a message. If you are signed up with Vintage Wine Cellars their outbound dialler uses this number.

If you are vintage cellars wine club member they call you up once every quarter to sell you some left-over stock for discounted price. I have bought from them numerous times but I guess I never knew their number until they called me twice and missed both calls in one day.

I received a call from this number this morning and they hung up after I answered the phone. I can't beleive that they have anything to call me about.

I just saw the number pop up on my mobile (in fact I have 'Do Not Answer' pop up as I now recognise the annoying number and have put it into my contact list) and the person calling obviously didn't know (or didn't care) that the call had been answered.  There was a lot of background noise with other people talking (call centre) but the guy calling me spoke about ....'another four hours of this [***]'... and then went on to talk to a collegue about ...'drugged the bosses wife and raped'... just before the call ended.  All this was recorded on my voicemail.  I called the 'opt out' number above and spoke to Cynthia who took my details, listened to the voicemail message I was left, apologised and asked that she arrange for the team leader to call me before I make it a police matter.  Unbelievable!

I just realise that I got the 'opt out' number from a different website.  It is: 1800 78 78 78

Just got a call from this number - Paul from Vintage Cellars - he knew my address and detail so i assume it was legit

I have been getting calls constantly from this number too, on a daily basis in fact. I am even on the Do not call register. I answered it once at the very beginning and they hung up on me. From then on I have just been cancelling the call whenever I see the number but last week I decided I was going to answer. And a guy called Justin was on the other end from Liquorland. I told him that I was not interested in purchasing any wine, I don't know how you got my number, I am on the DNC register and I would appreciate not being called again. It has been a week since that call and I have not heard from them again. Worth a try if anyone else is getting constant calls!!!

After joining Vintage Cellars several years ago, i took advantage of some of their offers earlier on. But after buying my own Bar, and able to explore my own specials i stop using their offers. Then the phone calls became daily, and at al times of the day (some even as late as 9pm at night). Becoming frustrated i at first ignored the calls, but that increased their frequency. VC weren't too helpful in taking off the list either.The 'opt out' number from RJ (posted Sept 18, 2008) was heaven sent. A brief conversatiom with a polite young girl & i'm off the list!!!

I just spoke with one of the telemarketers from Vintage Cellars regarding this. I mentioned to him that I had been called on 3 occasions in the previous week where the call was automatically terminated. He stated that they have recorded on their system the last call as having been last year. Clearly their system is not recording the fact that it is making spurious calls.

He did take me off the list, but didn't seem too worried about the fact that their system is irritating their customers and driving them away.

Yeah, this number is Vintage Cellars, they'll call you to sell you wine. They get your details only if you sign up to their club. the only annoying thing really is that they will never leave voicemail, so save their number in your phone and it'll be easier to decide whether to answer it or not.

Had the same problem, called 1800 78 78 78 as suggested by RJ above and told them I didn't want to receive the phone calls anymore. 10 seconds later the guy said it was taken care of, so we'll see!

I wouldn't mind so much if they left a message, I think it's really rude that they don't so that's why I'm removing myself from their calling list. I'm a Vintage Cellars member & still want to stay joined, just not be pestered by calls trying to sell me something.

Thanks for the tip, I have been getting missed calls that go to message centre but no message is left. Very annoying. Why call if you don't want to leave a message?

This is a great site - thanks. Got us out of continuous cycle of annoying missed calls that we didn't want anyway.

Same deal, kept getting annoying calls day & night from this number, they never leave a message. I called 1800787878 and advised them that I wanted off their list. They assured me that I would no longer receive calls or EMAILS!!!! Gosh knows how they got our email address, but it seems our spam filter had been keeping them away anyhow.

I'm currently overseas at the moment and I've had three calls from +61285954300. It's really annoying and switching off my mobile only does so much

coles liquor for me too... dont know what they want!

Got a call today on my mobile..."How are you sir" "I am ringing you because you filled out a survey saying that you enjoy the odd glass of wine"


My reply: how can that be, I am 48 years old and have always been a teetotaller....
I am offended my this phone call... tell me how did you get my number?

Supposedly, this guys manager will ring me back and explain everthing.
