Got a call from a guy this morning saying he was from chase edwards! Asked how he got my number from the white pages i am not listed

got call from this number and no one on the other side say anything

got call from this number . returned the call 3 times . the recording does not tell you what company this is.

Just got a call from this number.  Rang the number back and they said "Thanks for returning this important call" but did not identify the company

Got this person rang and said I could entitle for tax cut bla bla bla. I told them I am not interested in it and I got my financial advisor taken care of it but he still not go away.he said would call me back this afternoon meanwhile I block this number

I have received several calls from this number, when you answer the incoming call there is nothing total silence. When I return the call to who ever this is all I get is "Thank you for returning our call, someone will be in contact with you shortly regard an urgent and important matter" ????? - Who are these people as it doesn't tell you anything when you phone back. So over these BS calls and how do they find your number when it is not listed anywhere. If they ring they should have the guts to let you know what they are up too..... what a waste of time.

Whoever owns this number has been ringing the mobile of my deceased mother since Oct 2016, at least once a week. Since the phone is usually office, it appears as missed call. Last call was only this morning. I rang the number from my office landline and got the same rubbish as noted above. Since this mobile is now on the do not call register, I will lodge the appropriate gripe. Bloody vermin!

Received multiple calls from this number. Finally picked up. A lady tells me I'm entitled to a tax cut and that it's all legislate business I just have to contact one of "their" qualified advisers. TOTAL SCAM! For those who also received calls from them, no need to call back. Does anyone know where to report these companies? There's got to be a department that looks into these scams.

I have received same message as above. I have received a call from this number around christmas time and was apparently a marketing company affiliàted to Telstra. They were trying to offee other products.

What is worrying is Telstra releases our numbers to these marketing companies and receives money for our details.  Dont fall for it.

Called today and said they were from Chase Edwards and said something about tax incentives. Wanted to know if I have a mortgage. Said I wasn't interested and hung up. Total scam.

Same blurb as you, but a woman this time. Wanted to know my age and employment and income status. Said my investment advisor would not be "qualified" to know about it. Did not ask my name (but presumably knew it). Said it was possible to divert some of my tax into investments. This is B.S.; any tax law is published as it has to be - there are no secret opportunities - and advisors would be all over it. My number is unlisted; I asked why they did not call my listed fixed line, she said it probably would be (rubbish). The Australian government does NOT work this way. If they need you to know something, it will either be published in major newspapers, announced in television news, and most importantly be on a government website. If it is specific to you, they will send you or your tax agent a letter on ATO letterhead - they already know from your tax details who and where you are. You don't need to say you're in a particular group in order to "qualify" for any tax incentive, either.

Been getting these calls over the past few months, have had to block the number on my mobile numerous times. Needs to be investigated
