    Yes it is Optus IT, acting on behalf of VIRGIN MOBILE in Australia.
    It is quite right to say I did not understand a single word he said as he was from India.

    have had this number call twice today both times left messages as I wasnt home - only trouble is messages are so faint cannot hear them - oh well I guess they will call back if they need to

    Lady said she was from Optus and they've fixed my account and adjusted my cap, etc etc.
    I yelled at her that I had no idea what the hell she was on about and who was she, asking her to identify herself, immediately hung up.

    A few days earlier, I applied to change my home phone, broadband and mobile services from Bigpond over to Optus. Today. a guy with a strong Indian accent called me on my home phone. He wanted to know who my current phone carrier was. I told him Bigpond. He then asked me to confirm my date of birth. Suspecting something, I made up a false date. He did not question my answer. He went on to ask for my Bigpond account number. I told him I did not have it available, so he said he will call me tomorrow at around 11am. I thanked him very kindly, and promised to have the details ready.

    11:58pm Got a call from the same guy ‘Jai” or ‘Jay’ supposedly from Optus, on (02)8956 6000. He wanted my Bigpond account number, which I said I didn’t have. He said to call Bigpond to get it, and he will ring back in 3 hours. I went to Optus website and chatted online with a rep. She told me that our order had already been processed OK, and that they have all the necessary details. So I can safely ignore the man.

    In my case it was OPTUS calling me regarding a faulty landline that I reported. It was to check if all was OK after the technician repaired the line. Great service & customer care I think.
