Report a phone call from 02-9037-2906 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- PetrusGot a call from support@mavenindia.org to say that my computer had serious virus which was causing it to go very very slow and not respond to activating applications as shown by the numerous error reports sent to Microsoft .By going on remote ,after going live from the IRS network site.he showed me the error messages in the Event log.I was certainly having trouble but I thought it was caused by Vista upgrades ,as it the same day I got Microsoft Vista upgrades when the computer would at 2.30pm go into slow slow mode needing a reboot to put it right. They said they would get rid of the virus and temp files etc and instal another virus programme E Scan .They had lots of trouble and took 4 hrs rather than 30 minutes and ended up with installing AVG security instead. The computer is going better and faster.I got transaction details and AVG license keys etc and to me it seems they were genuine but not professional.Their phone number appears to be from Skype and is 510-722-6000. the 0290372906 is the number to ring to get in touch with them.I have not tried it yet.
- rodabethis is a scam, do not trust it, do not do what they ask, pass any information on to the relevant authorities as soon as possible.
- wombatI received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft saying that my computer was transmitting viruses and suggesting that I go to a website so they could talk me through how to fix it. I went to the website, but I got suspicious and didn't proceed, and asked them for a phone number that I could call them on later, and they gave me 0290372906. I later called it a few times but just got a recorded message saying the person I called was not available. I later looked on the Microsoft website and saw a warning about phone scams; this website said that Microsoft never cold calls people to tell them about viruses and that this is most likely a phone scam. - huntI agree with 99% of the posts here as too I have been searching the ph number in question 0290372906.
I was stressed and almost convinced. To tell the truth If had the money ...who knows. the cost was 100 dollars up front an 5 days for the rest and that would pay for the software to fix virus. Also something that has not been mentioned here at this post the fraudster threatned that i would lose my computer licence if i did not get it fixed. I was frustrated and fed up so i said go on cancel it then ill just buy a new one!
The fraudsters had me though. I too was skeptical and asked to speak to his superior and tried to talk HIM down and catch them out! but he was too convincing for his own good.
thankfully i had no money yesterday!!:)
bet they spend theri whole lives learning how fk people out of a $!- Caller: Microsoft tech support

- kimboTotal scam! The caller said they were from All Round World Global Computer Maintenance, they had received a report from the Global Routing Sysyem that my computer was under attack from viruses. They said I could call them back on this number.
Wouldn't tell me anything else - even that info took 5 minutes of me giving him grief to get that!
I'll trust my Norton thanks... - froggytuffgot a call too

- AnnoyedI received a call for this number as well this evening. Peter advising that he was from Microsoft and that my PC was sending error reports and virus alerts to Microsoft. Upon questioning 'Peter' about validating his identity he provided me with the Helpdesk number of 02 90372906. I called this 'Company Number' for the call to be answered with 'Hello' with no reference to a company name. I explained I received a call from 'Peter' and was sold a story about they are a private company called 'I Fix Your PC' that are contracted by Microsoft to provide maintenance and support. Advised a technician should call, named Mark and his Employee Code was 172526. Within minutes 'Mark' called announcing his name and Employee code. I asked why he was calling and explained that he was going to investigate if my PC was under threat of virus attack. Explained that he would remote logon to my PC. I explained that this was never going to happen and then he offered the services of sending a technician to me for the cost of $80. When I asked in relation to how my PC and phone number were linked, he was unable to validate. When I questioned him in relation to who I was, he had no response. I explained that my husband would call the 'company' back in relation to the calls and he terminated the call.
- Caller: I fix your PC
- GiantExtremely convincing especially when they called back after I hung up. Sounded suspicious and I questioned for quite a while They gave me the phone number when I asked without any reluctance even insisting that I write his name first. Ryan Matthew. Phone number same as quoted above. I did not call their number but instead called Microsoft who advised that they NEVER cold call. People who need tech support call them NEVER them calling people.
- Caller: Microsoft!!!!!!!!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ChazIt's simply a scam.
Microsoft do not call people EVER. The only circumstance they do is if you have already enquired about an issue and have CHOSEN to receive calls. You should also speak to someone that's part of the department of Microsoft in your actual country. - telemarketer haterPetrus you have been scammed my friend. They have rung me nunerous times with all the same crap and they are a different buisiness every time. How much did you pay? The whole point of the call was to scare you into buying the anti virus software. You gave them remote access? to a stranger? holy crap.
I wondered what people fall for this crap, because they keep getting sales they keep doing it buddy. All computers have that error message list deleting it magicaly does nothing.
If you hadn't made a purchase they would have installed a virus that you would have to get repaired by a computer technician, if you where lucky.
NEVER by anything from a TELEMARKETER, nothing.- Caller: UCH

- AndrewI just got the same cold call. I knew it was a scam (as I had had several before) and got his phone number and name as I was "busy" and would "call him back".
He said it was Ryan Matthew and his phone number was 0290372906.
These people are complete [***]. They make out they are doing you a favour and all the while they are trying to stab you in the back. No way am I letting them have Remote Access to my computer.
I have received several of these calls. The best thing to do is to ask them what OS the viruses are for and then say you have something different and therefore do not need their services. If they ring back a few months later and say that they know what OS you had because you told them before say that you have now upgraded to a different OS.
Do not give them your OS first. Make them commit to an OS FIRST and then say you have something else.
This annoys the hell out of them as they have no answer to this.
I hope this helps.- Caller: Telemarketer - scammer
- Lisa PerryI feel i was totally taken advantage of and scammed they even took $194 off me, my computer is no better and i am a single mum on the pension. Please do something as it chills me as to what they could do, as they had access to my computer.
- Caller: They called me and said they were from windows
- RussellReceived a call from Mark ------ from Microsoft --------- stating that I had serious virus problems.
2 days previously (several EMails were returned) i was notified via Spamhaus that my IP was listed in the CBL (Composite Blocking List) due to Trojan:Win32/Ramnit.
Mark Bowson I think that is the surname stated he would fix this if I allowed access to my computer
How would they know ??? & who controls CBL ??
I delisted my IP address after running Norton scan a couple of times - I don't think I have had any problems since- Caller: Microsoft ____
