The callers from this number are scammers who will purport to be representing telco's or micro soft and claim they have been authourised to advice of serious virus's having been downloaded into your computer and the virus protection on your computer will be defenceless against it. They will provide you with your personal details including D of B that the Telco would have and sounds OK, so you let them in to clean up your computer and before you know it they have installed stuff they never mentioned and wipe your anti virus substituting one that will allow them back into your computer.

Please Please please....dont talk to people who call from this number and let them access your system....they will take off your antivirus and install something which would further increase viruses into the system...so please hang up when they call you...and never give any credit card details to them...this compant does not exist!!!

Got a call from them today, very heavy indian style accent, same story as others, I took their company name and number run it through google and got this page. Hope it helps others.

we received a call from NEIL yesterday, indian sounding, but non idian name...  said he was from "Tech A for PC" and that he had received the error reports from our PC.  when we asked him how or what he actually meant he said that when applications fail you have the option of sending a failure report off and that those come to them.  sounded dodge to us...  why would they go to a company and not microsoft?  anyways, he said it's due to junk files that we've downloaded and that they effect the programs.  he said he could run us through deleting them, or we could go to their website to do it.  we said no, that we didn't know who the hell he was and that we would need to investigate him and his company more.  he said we could call him back on 02 9037 8488.  lucky for google, not that we were going to tell him anything, but on a side issue - someone has been hacking our email and phone so ??? i guess we're a little curious how the F these people get your no.?!

A lady with a heavy indian accent who gave the name Michelle Fisher called and wanted to speak to my mother who owned the computer and stated she was from Windows services. She gave me an Australian number to call back although the number she called from was an overseas number (as so stated on my home phone). She would not give me any other information and urged that it was important my mother called her. It didn’t sound very legitimate. I am glad I searched the number.

kreeg vandaag weer zo'n telefoontje, enige maanden geleden ben ik erin getuind en is mijn PC gecrasht. nu heb ik bijna onmiddelijk mijn pc uitgezet en de telfoon werd  verbroken toen bleek dat ik er in op inging.naar aanleiding van de 1e crash heb ik een back-up van mijn softwhare op een externe harde schijf staan.

Told him to get off my phone as I have no verification of who he is.

Obvious scam, so please people, report this number to your local telecom company.

Whatever happened to people earing a fair days pay for a fair days work. FAT TOO MANY SCAMMERS out there. With cheape calls they are looking for people to scam from all over the planet.

ik word dagelijks gebeld met dit nummer, soms kort achter elkaar. Maar ik krijg geen respons. Ik hoor een piep en daarna een vrouwelijke computerstem die zegt: "goodbye". Ik weet nu uit alle voorgaande berichten dat ik gewoon weg moet drukken.

in juli gebeld door iemand die zich voordoet dat hij/zij van microsoft security center is
met een gebrekkig accent en een storende telefooonlijn
ze proberen zo aan je gegevens te komen
op die manier wordt je dus gehackt
en crasht je pc
dus als je gebelt bent of wordt gebeld gooi de telefoon er gewoon op

ben vandaag 4 keer gebeld met dit nummer 0290378488
geruis en vreemde geluiden,net of iemand gegevens opvraagt,oude modem geluid.
heb het idee dat hoe langer je luisterd hoe meer gegevens ze binnen krijgen

Ik ben de afgelopen 2 maanden een aantal keren gebeld door dit nummer.
Er werd dan niets gezegd en na 10 seconden opgehangen.
Het lijkt wel of ze de naam  willen weten wie er opneemt.
Gisteren werd ik weer gebeld door dit nummer en deze keer kreeg ik een man aan de telefoon die engels praat met een accent. hij beweerde dat hij berichten kreeg van mijn computer dat zou betekenen dat ik een virus op mijn computer zou hebben. Hij beweerde dat hij uit Australië komt.
Toen ik hem vroeg wat ik nu moest doen, bood hij aan me te helpen.
Ik moest mijn PC aanzetten en dan goed zijn instructie opvolgen. het kwam erop neer dat ik software moest downloaden en installeren die het virus zou verwijderen.
IK HEB DAT DUS NIET GEDAAN EN HEB OPGEHANGEN.
Ik heb daarna mijn PC laten scannen op virussen (ESSET NOD32) en er is niets van betekenis gevonden.

Just looked up this number after missing the call and came to this page. So glad to know what this is and be warned and prepared. I took a call last evening and now find it was the same number. Also noticed there were other missed calls from the same number within the last day or so. Last night it was an Indian sounding woman who wanted to talk to the person who uses computer in the house and said it was about "Windows". The sound quality was really bad so I negotiated to terminate the call. Now I am so glad  -  although I have a retired friend who was scammed by what could be the same group and was already somewhat wary. Nasty. Who do we report this to?

Vandaag ook ben ik weer gebeld, gesprek direct verbroken.

Got called today buy a guy with a indian accent.   he told me that my computer was spreading virusses and asked if i was aware of that.
since i already searched last week when i got these phonecalls with a beep and a woman saying goodday, i found this thread already.
i have told the guy i have no internet.    he applogised.

Got a call from indian sounding and said name was Nikki Smith and that I had corrupted file and wanted me to get into my computer while talking to them. I took  the number 02 9037 8488 and said I would ring back.They are  Not picking up
