Call was from automated survey service for an energy company (Origin Energy) asking if you wanted to complete a survey with key prompt entries.

yep automated call from Origin Energy. Pretty funny when you get a voicemail of an automated message saying "Please say Yes to respond" ...

I just got a call from this number with the same voicemail. Odd thing is, a few weeks ago i got a text from Origin Energy telling me my electricity bill was overdue...even though they are not my electricity supplier, so I ignored it. My name isn't even on our current account with Energy Australia, so where they've got my details from is curious.

Yes, Origin Energy apologizing because they had missed me in their recent survey and asking me to ring them if I wanted to discuss anything.

Same as another respondent in that I had recently spoken to them in relation to a missed payment which had actually been paid.

Same thing.

I phoned the number and it was answered by a recording apologising because they had missed me in their recent survey.

I've also been receiving calls from Origin via 03 5448 1500. I called them back on 03 5448 1500 and a person answered. I told her about the calls and she apologised and said she would get it stopped. Am I right in thinking it's just slack call centre staff who are dropping calls to get their call stats up? Bloody annoying!

Yeah it is Orign Energy recorded message when you call back.

They just rang me too. I wasted many minutes having to stop working to get to the phone, which stopped ringing just when I got to it. Idiots.

omg i just googled the number thinking i missed a call from someone , just wanted to know what business it was and this came up.. thanks everyone... i didnt call it back... saved myself credit love you all :)

Same here, just got a call from 0290439399 but ironically missed the 3 rings.
I Googled the number and got this page.
Strangely like some others here, I have an outstanding bill, and talked to them yesterday already about it.
It must be anyone in debt lets harass them or something? Glad I didn't call back!

Obviously pay your Origin bill, I get calls at tea time!

I did the same - missed call so googled number - funny I phoned them myself yesterday - not about an outstanding bill but a query in relation to credit for an overpayment due to an incorrect estimate on their behalf on the previous quarter. How odd. At least I have saved myself a phone call in return. Thanks all.

Exactly the same scenario as Madge- the phone rang breifly and then hung up. I have been having loads of billing issues with them- such a rubbish company.

I just got a call from the automated survey also and I'm with Origin and my next bill with them isn't overdue.  Stupid me agreed to the survey, thinking it was a yes, no, and rating by numbers, until the voice asked why I had rated them a 10!  I don't have a problem with Origin and even though they cost a bit more I like their service but I wasn't going to to talk to a "robot".  That's when I woke up - just hang up, it's an automated voice! (I don't like hanging up on telemarketers because they also have to earn a living and so I tend to listen to them a while before I do hang up).  They haven't rung back thank goodness.

That should be "survey".  I didn't see that option in the drop menu.  Thanks :-)

Same thing. Rang me today after I paid an overdue bill yesterday. As soon as I picked up they hung up.
