I receieved a call on my Moblie as I answered i they was noone there I called babck and there isnt even a Dial tone it doesnt ring At all!!!!!

I had a call from this exact number with the exact same problem. I have no idea why anyone would ring my phone and not speak...

I'm from Australia.I have two missed calls from the same number around 3pm. I tried calling back and there were no dial tone. 02 9118 seems to be the first digits to commonwealth bank numbers. I'm not sure.

Most likely some kind of scam. Beware!

i just got a call from this number, the guy on the other end said he just got a text message from my number to the 1 he's calling from.....i asked him "really" he said yes, i said bit hard to sms a landline without credit on my mobile [***].....needless to say he hung up

Yeah I just got a phone call from the same number. The guy seemed confused as if he'd rang the wrong number. I told him my first name and company name and then he hung up. I'd say it's a telemarketer gathering info for a later campaign

0291181800 is the Commonwealth Bank main outgoing number. marketing, debt collection and staff making calls from their desk all route through this number. Depending on your relationship with Comm Bank you can decide whether or not to answer next time

It's the commonwealth bank. I just got a call and it was my husband, who has just started working there. Sooo funny. All these blogs. Thank God for the internet.

Relax it is just the outgoing line for CBA - not a scam or telemarketing - geez guys its just a phone call....

yep its the main outgoing number of commbank sydney. so you could be receiving a call from any one in the bank and from a range of departments. not a scam. Don't be scared, you can always hang up if you dont like what they are saying :-).

It belongs to the Commonwealth bank's head office in Sydney - more than likely if you have business account with them it is your business banker calling you from his office but the number comes up as the one line number. Hope this helps - dont worry not a salesman or debt collector - unless ofcourse you owe money to the CBA !!!
