Called, left no message.

Called number back and found out it was to "thank me for charitable donations" through a recorded message.

If you've ever donated, it looks like they want more money from you.

Just had the same call, ignored it. ssumed it was a telemarketing call

Just received a one-ring call from this number.
Thanks for posting.
Will not be 'returning' the call.

When I called the number back I got:

"Hi. If you have received a missed call from this number, we were calling on behalf of a charitable organisation to thank you for your support and we will try to contact you again in the near future."

I've answered the phone 4 times to this damn number so far today. I hear background noise, then it hangs up. It's getting old.

I have received called from 9119 4164 & 9119 4166 non-stop for the past couple of days.  I finally decided to answer it, then they hung up on me.  I know they are from a "charitable organisation", but if and when I finally get to talk to them, I will be telling them where to go with their numerous annoying phone calls!

I have received 5 calls from this number over the past few days only for them to hang up when I answer. Just received another call from them and as I answered I said don't bloody ring if your not going to talk to me - only to find there was finally a person on the other end of the line. I then complained about all the other calls only for them to deny it! So understandably I told them (green peace) I wasn't interested in what they had to say!

I has something similar with the multiple calls and hang ups. In the end they did get through and it was Oxfam. Just checking on here- hopefully it is legit because I did donate (a small sum) but I always get worried when I hand out my card details over the phone. Really got to be stronger!

It is this group below calling on behalf of a number of charities. Charities are exempt from Do Not Call Register but you can contact them using the details below to have your details removed from their database (which they must do if requested). I personally think they are walking a thin line as a commercial entity representing a charity (think Do Not Call should apply unless the charity is contacting you themselves):
